Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival presents the world premiere engagement of And Still You Must Swing with three of the world's most celebrated tap dance luminaries—Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards, Jason Samuels Smith, and Derick K. Grant—July 6-10 in the intimate Doris Duke Theatre. The program embraces masterful technique, musicality, and improvisation including a live onstage band and a star-studded cast with critically-acclaimed guest artist and 2016 Jacob's Pillow Dance Award recipient Camille A. Brown.
St. James Theatre Set to Expand While Helen Hayes Theater Begins Renovations

According to Variety, one of Broadway's most notable houses, the St. James Theatre is set to expand its stage. The renovations include pushing the back wall of the theater out into the alley behind it. Work is scheduled to begin this summer while the Helen Hayes Theater next door begins its own renovations.

In 1980, a musical based on the beloved novel Flowers For Algernon, by Charles Strouse and David Rogers, opened on Broadway. Though it ran for less than month, Strouse's wonderful score was recorded by the London company and has lived on in vinyl. For one night only, Second Act Concerts will present the haunting score in a concert at Feinstein's/54 Below.

Producer Scott Rudin announced today that, on the heels of winning four Tony Awards including Best Play, The Humans will move into Broadway's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street) to extend its limited run. The Humans will play its first performance in its new home on Tuesday, August 9. It will play its final performance at the Helen Hayes Theatre on Sunday, July 24, and then take a two-week hiatus to allow for the move. As previously announced, the Hayes is set to undergo significant renovations beginning in August.
