Young Artists of America present THE SOUND OF MUSIC IN CONCERT

On Sunday, October 29th at 4pm, Young Artists of America at Strathmore (YAA) presents The Sound of Music in Concert. The performance will include the original 1959 symphonic orchestrations by Robert Russell Bennett and feature over 100 local middle and high school student-artists from the YAAOrchestra, YAACompany and YAAJunior. The performance will take place at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in the Dekelboum Concert Hall (8270 Alumni Dr., College Park, MD).

San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) has announced details for the fourth production of its 42nd season, Black Pearl Sings! This intimate play with music, from playwright Frank Higgins, will be helmed by Thomas W. Jones II. Black Pearl Sings! begins on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 and plays through Sunday, December 17, 2017 with an opening night on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the Lyceum Space Theatre at San Diego REP in Horton Plaza.

Presented by Playhouse Artists, the non-profit organization that supports the growth and sustainability of the Playhouse, Galavant in the Garden was held on Saturday, September 23 and featured a concert by The Midtown Men, four of the original stars of 'Jersey Boys.'
