Cast Complete for MCC Theater's 'PlayLabs' Reading of EL HURACAN Tonight

MCC Theater today announced the complete cast and creative team for Charise Castro Smith's El Hurac n, the second of the 2017 PlayLabs readings, which will be held tonight, Monday, September 25th at 7pm at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street).

Producers James L. Nederlander, Estefan Enterprises, Inc and Bernie Yuman have announced complete casting for the First National Tour of the Broadway musical ON YOUR FEET!, starring Cuban-American Broadway actress Christie Prades as seven-time GRAMMY-winning international superstar Gloria Estefan, and acclaimed stage and television actor Mauricio Martinez, playing her 19-time Grammy-winning producer and husband Emilio Estefan.

Pig Iron Theatre Company to Premiere A PERIOD OF ANIMATE EXISTENCE at Philadelphia Fringe

Pig Iron Theatre Company, the internationally acclaimed, Philadelphia-based organization, has announced that the world premiere of its ambitious, timely production A Period of Animate Existence will take place September 22-24 at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Pennsylvania in the 2017 Fringe Festival, co-presented by FringeArts and Annenberg Center Live.

On the heels of its groundbreaking Public Works Seattle production of The Odyssey, Seattle Repertory Theatre prepares for the opening of its west coast premiere production of Pride and Prejudice, a playful adaptation of the Jane Austen classic by inventive playwright, Kate Hamill (Bedlam's Sense & Sensibility). The Sarah Siddons Society of Chicago honored its 2017 recipients of the prestigious Actor of the Year Award in a lavish event this week at the Hilton Orrington Hotel in Evanston. Kate Baldwin, this year's HELLO DOLLY! Tony nominee for Best Supporting Actress, and Kate Shindle, 1998 Miss America, and current star of the national tour of FUN HOME, received their award at a Gala Awards event on Monday, September 18th, at the Hilton Orrington Hotel in Evanston. 3-D Theatricals of Los Angeles Opens 9th Southern California Season with YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN

3-D Theatricals (3DT) rings in its 2017-1018 season at both the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center (RBPAC) and the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) with Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, a musical comedy from the Broadway creative team of the 12-time Tony Award winning smash hit The Producers. The production, with music and lyrics by Brooks and a book by Thomas Meehan, is a hilariously tuneful show based on the 1974 smash hit film Young Frankenstein which was a wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Mary Shelley classic from the comic genius of Mel Brooks. David Lamoureux directs with Corey Hirsch serving as Musical Director and Daniel Smith as Choreographer. Cast Set for All-Woman THE TAMING OF THE SHREW at Chicago Shakespeare
