Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC), recent recipient of a Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Play or Musical Adaptation, brings to the stage the world premiere musical, Blueberries for Sal, written by Washington, D.C. Helen Hayes Nominated playwrights Michael J. Bobbitt and Sandra Eskin and featuring new music and lyrics by William Yanesh (Caps for Sale, Winnie the Pooh). Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the book by Robert McCloskey, this female helmed musical is recommended for all ages and closes October 28, 2018.

Marni Penning is an audiobook narrator, playwright, acting coach, children's book illustrator, two-time Helen Hayes Award nominee, and other-award-winning actress who lives with her husband, son, dog, fish, and chickens in Falls Church, VA. She is starring as Susan B. Anthony in Mosaic Theater Company's upcoming production, The Agitators.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announces OBIE, Helen Hayes and NAACP Award-winning actor and playwright Danai Gurira as the honoree at the 10th annual Steppenwolf Women in the Arts fundraising luncheon

The mind-blowing, face melting, nothin' but a good time, audience favorite ROCK OF AGES will return to the stage with a tenth anniversary tour beginning this fall.  Nominated for five Tony Awards including Best Musical, the all new production will play Akron's E.J. Thomas Hall, November 13 and 14, 2018 as part of the 18-19 Broadway in Akron Series.

Goodspeed Musicals announces the full cast of their new production of A Connecticut Christmas Carol - the musical treat infused with more Connecticut flavor by LJ Fecho and Michael O'Flaherty.

Tony award-winner, Elizabeth Ashley ("Take Her She's Mine") and Tony nominee Tom Hewitt ("The Rocky Horror Show") will headline a refreshed production of Paul Rudnick's witty, laugh out loud comedy, "I Hate Hamlet" at Bucks County Playhouse, November 9 - December 1. The play marks Ashley's return to the Playhouse after co-starring opposite Robert Redford in the pre-Broadway production of Neil Simon's "Barefoot in the Park."

DETROIT '67 is part of Morisseau's 'The Detroit Project,' a 3-play cycle inspired by her connection to the city. This production's story, said director Jade King Caroll, is grounded in family. No matter what might be happening in the world outside, 'you always have your family,' she said.

The Old Globe will expand San Diego's celebration of the holidays with a world premiere American musical about family, faith, and the magic of Christmas. The Globe is delighted to announce the complete cast and creative team for Looking for Christmas, the new Clint Black Christmas musical, inspired by the country music legend's 1995 chart-topping holiday album. With music and lyrics by Clint Black, book by James D. Sasser with Black, based on an idea by Sasser and Black, music supervision and music direction by Matt Hinkley, and directed by Kent Nicholson, Looking for Christmas will run November 11 - December 16, 2018 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $39.00 and are on sale to the general public now. Previews run November 11-19. Opening night is Tuesday, November 20 at 8:00 p.m.

Two new character-driven relationship plays, both by award-winning women writers and both inspired by events currently at the forefront of our national consciousness, beat out 1241 other submissions in the inaugural Moss Hart & Kitty Carlisle Hart New Play Initiative. Hart NPI artistic director Christopher Hart will direct Silver Medallion-winning plays Confederates by Suzanne Bradbeer, opening Nov. 9, and Exit Wounds by Wendy Graf, opening Nov. 16, at Grove Theater Center in Burbank, where the two plays will continue to run in repertory through Dec. 16. One will be the named the Gold Medallion winner and open on March 13, 2019 for a six-week, off-Broadway run in the 196-seat "Theater A" at 59E59 Theaters in New York City.

TSG Theatricals announces the developmental reading of "Red Hot Patriot: The Kick-Ass Wit of Molly Ivins" by Allison and Margaret Engel at the Tony Kiser Theater on Monday, November 5 at 7pm.

Yesterday James Corden stopped by The Grove Barnes and Noble location in Los Angeles to sing 'Waving Through A Window' with Pasek and Paul. The event featured Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and novelist Val Emmich.

Quintessence Theatre Group presents Lionel Bart's beloved musical Oliver! Adapted from Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist, this tale about finding hope and a chosen family in the bleakest of situations will provide an adventurous escape and moving holiday parable for many Philadelphians starting November 14, 2018. OPENING NIGHT is Saturday, November 17 at 7:30pm, and performances run through December 23, 2018.

Animus continues its fourth full theatrical season with the New York Revival of Someone Who'll Watch Over Me by Frank McGuinness.

Studio Theatre's Board of Trustees today announces that Rebecca Ende Lichtenberg will join the organization as Managing Director beginning in December 2018. She joins Studio, long regarded as one of Washington, DC's most daring presenters of new and contemporary theatre, in its 40th anniversary season. She comes to Studio from Theater J, the nation's most prominent Jewish theatre and a cultural touchstone in Washington, DC, where she served as Managing Director and, earlier, Director of Marketing and Communications. She was selected after a rigorous nationwide search conducted by Managing Consultants for the Arts.

Opening Night is set for Wednesday, October 17th for Keen Company's fourth musical, the first NY revival of Adam Gwon's acclaimed Ordinary Days, directed by Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein. Whitney Bashor (The Bridges of Madison County), Marc delaCruz (If/Then), Sarah Lynn Marion (2013 Jimmy awards winner), and Kyle Sherman (Pete the Cat) star.  This limited Off-Broadway engagement will continue through November 17th only.

Leading the cast are Anthony Nuccio as 'Drew Boley,' Katie LaMark as 'Sherrie Christian,' John-Michael Breen as 'Lonny,' Sam Harvey as 'Stacee Jaxx,' Ryan M. Hunt as 'Dennis,' Chris Renalds as 'Franz,' Kristina Walz as 'Regina,' Kenya Hamilton as 'Justice,' and Andrew Tebo as 'Hertz.' Decorated designer Clint Ramos, currently represented on Broadway by Once On This Island, has just joined the staff at Fordham University heading up their Design and Production track. 

The made-in-Canada phenomenon that is COME FROM AWAY is coming to St. John's. The show that has become the toast of Broadway and Toronto, will play eight benefit performances in a concert version at Holy Heart Theatre from January 23 to 27, 2019. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 10 AM (NDT) exclusively through Holy Heart Theatre ticket channels.

The Muse Project, in association with The Tank, presents Musings: a collection of Mini Muse presentations at The Flea Theater as a part of their Anchor Partnership. Musings runs from Monday, October 15th - Sunday October, 21st at The Flea's new home at 20 Thomas Street in Tribeca.
