Ford's Theatre Director Paul R. Tetreault announced that acclaimed Washington actor Craig Wallace will return to Ford's to perform the role of Ebenezer Scrooge for the company's holiday production of A Christmas Carol. Performances of the classic Charles Dickens story begin November 15 and continue for a six-and-a-half-week engagement through December 30, 2018. This "musically high-spirited" and "infectiously jolly" (The Washington Post) production is adapted by Michael Wilson and directed by Michael Baron.

The Second City's A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens returns to Portland Center Stage at The Armory with a new Scrooge played by Isaac Lamb, new jokes, and the same uproariously funny experience Portland audiences have come to expect. Twist Your Dickens begins preview performances on Nov. 27, opens on Nov. 30, and runs through Dec. 23 on the U.S. Bank Main Stage. Ron West returns to direct. Rebecca Sohn joins the cast, while Darius Pierce, Sam Dinkowitz, Chantal DeGroat, Laura Modica, and Nicholas Kessler return with their signature,irreverent take on some of the season's most iconic characters. Norton's 32 years in leadership roles helped nurture the WSG into one of Washington's most respected and enduring theatre companies. Her accomplishments will be celebrated at the Washington Stage Guild's 2018 gala, to be held at the Arts Club of Washington on Thursday, November 8. The theme of the gala, "An Affair to Remember," celebrates the Golden Age of Hollywood, the setting for the upcoming World Premiere of All Save One by area playwright Greg Jones Ellis, set in Los Angeles 1950.

Mosaic Theater Company of DC announces an update to our Season Four lineup. The world premiere production of Aaron Davidman's The Shooting Gallery, which was scheduled to run in repertory with the regional premiere of Native Son, has recently undergone exciting creative changes. No longer a solo performance piece, it has expanded to feature two additional actors alongside its author. Additional workshop and rehearsal time, in coordination with director Michael John Garces' busy schedule this spring, will push the production into a future Mosaic season. Mosaic will present a workshop reading of the revamped project on February 11 and 12, 2019.
