Chelle and her brother, Lank, are running an unlicensed after-hours juke joint out of their basement-risky business-especially during a brutal police crackdown that sets off riots throughout the city. When Lank offers refuge to a mysterious stranger, he and Chelle clash. Pent-up emotions erupt, and they must navigate the chaos both outside and within.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will welcome back the "undie rock" sensation THE SKIVVIES with a special "Halloween Hootenanny" on Wednesday, October 31 at 10:30 PM. The Drama League (Executive Artistic Director, Gabriel Stelian-Shanks) has announced the roster of special guest performers for its 35th Annual Benefit Gala: A Musical Celebration of Broadway honoring film, television, theater icon and three-time Tony Award winner Nathan Lane. The black-tie evening, which will also celebrate theater producer Fran Weissler for Visionary Leadership in American Theater, will take place on Monday, November 5, 2018 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in New York City at The Plaza (768 Fifth Avenue). The Gala Co-Chairs are Kathy Henderson, Janet M. Kagan, and Joseph Pizza.

The Muse Project, in association with The Tank, will present Musings: a collection of Mini Muse presentations at The Flea Theater as a part of their Anchor Partnership. The Muse Project gives women performers the time, space, and opportunity to experiment with and explore their fantasy projects. Musings will showcase the exciting, fresh, paradigm-shifting storytelling that 5 of New York's leading stage actresses have developed through intensive workshops, called Mini Muses. The week will culminate in a party on October 19th, the 'Mini Gala' - a wine and cheese event to celebrate the week's presentations; and 'Tea Time,' a one-of-a-kind Muse pilot program, where a veteran stage actress discusses her experiences building her career. Actress Florencia Lozano is set to partake as the Tea Time guest.

Michael Thomas Holmes and Tim Rogan have joined the cast of 'The Rocky Horror Show' at Bucks County Playhouse. Holmes will play Dr. Scott/The Narrator and Rogan will play Rocky. They replaced previously announced cast members Jennifer Van Dyck and Erik Altemus, respectively.

Pegasus Theatre Chicago announces its production of Eclipsed, written by Danai Gurira and directed by Producing Artistic Director Ilesa Duncan, October 4 - November 4 at Pegasus's resident home Chicago Dramatists, 773 N. Aberdeen. Opening/press night is Monday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. with added Saturday 3 p.m. or Sunday 7:00 p.m. performances (TBD). Award-winning actor, author and piano virtuoso Hershey Felder will present the New York debut of his acclaimed one-man show Our Great Tchaikovsky at a special one-night-only performance on Monday, October 15 at 7:30 PM at 59E59 Theatres (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). The performance will be a benefit for the Lyric Chamber Music Society of New York.

Kate Eastwood Norris stars as Philip the Bastard in Folger Theatre's upcoming production of King John. She is a two-time recipient of the Helen Hayes Award, and has been challenging gender expectations in casting for most of her career.
