After a 48 year absence, Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presents the first new Broadway production of Bye Bye Birdie as the inaugural production of the new Henry Miller's Theatre (124 West 43rd Street) beginning Thursday, September 10th, 2009 with an official opening on Thursday, October 15th, 2009. This will be a limited engagement through January 10th, 2010.

Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS, Broadway's longest running comedy, continues its 'Hitchcock Meets Hilarious' Talkback Tuesday series tomorrow night with Eugene Pack (creator, producer, performer and host of the Off-Broadway hit comedy sensation Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words) joining cast members of the Tony Award-winning comedy for a post-show discussion.

New York's OBIE Award-winning Epic TheatreEnsemble (Zak Berkman, Melissa Friedman, Ron Russell, Founding Executive Directors) has announced its 9 th Anniversary Season of new works: the world premiere of Mahida's Extra Key To Heaven by Russell Davis, and the New York Premiere of Passion Play by Sarah Ruhl. Also scheduled is Shakespeare Remix MacBeth a collaboration with Epic's unrivaled After School Shakespeare Program at Chelsea High School.

A new cast has been announced for Patrick Barlow's adaptation of The 39 Steps, directed by Maria Aitken, currently in its third year at the Criterion Theatre. The new cast will feature John Hopkins as Richard Hannay. Other cast members include Stephen Critchlow, Stephen Ventura, and Natalie Walter. The new cast members of the hilarious 100-minute whodunnit begin July 13.

Rich Affannato in association with Meri Krassner will present a special invitational reading of the new musical, CALIGULA, with book, music & lyrics by Eric Svejcar, for two performances on Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14 at 3 p.m. at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

Stephanie J. Block, currently starring on Broadway in the role of Judy Bernly in 9 to 5: The Musical, will be making a triumphant return to Birdland to celebrate the release of her debut album, 'This Place I Know,' on Monday, July 13th at 7pm. The evening is part of the award-winning concert series Broadway at Birdland, presented by Jim Caruso's Cast Party.

He is also one of its bravest and most versatile, and none of his plays proves this more than the 1975 drama Seascape, presented by The American Century Theater, July 30 through August 22, at the Theater II, Gunston Arts Center, 2700 S. Rubicon Theatre Company has announced the cast and creative team for the World Premiere of THE BEST IS YET TO COME: THE MUSIC OF CY COLEMAN, which began previews July 9 at Rubicon's intimate 200-seat home at 1006 E. Under the direction of Chris Presley, the cast features Euan Morton (Taboo) in the title role, with Autumn Hurlbert (MTV's Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods), Matt Bogart (Jersey Boys, Aida), and Anastasia Barzee (White Christmas, Urinetown). These presentations of CALIGULA will be backed by a six-piece band led by Musical Director David Andrews Rogers.

The newly launched Summer Solos Series (Scott Morfee and Darren Lee Cole, producers), a celebration of the best in solo performance and shows by acclaimed playwrights and performers, presents a one-night only return performance of the critically acclaimed Off Broadway hit, Nilaja Sun's No Child..., on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam Street). Immediately following the performance there will be a brief reception with the artist in the Huron Club, located inside the Soho Playhouse.

Westport Country Playhouse will reunite six audience favorites---playwright Alan Ayckbourn, director John Tillinger, and cast members Paxton Whitehead, Cecilia Hart, Geneva Carr and Carson Elrod---in the classic comedy, 'How the Other Half Loves,' playing July 28 through August 15.
