Washington Concert Opera and Maestro Antony Walker will continue their 35th season with Christoph Willibald Gluck's Orphée on Sunday, April 24 at 6 p.m. at Lisner Auditorium in Washington, DC.

LA Opera’s next production St. Matthew Passion will open March 12, 2022, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. LA Opera’s music director James Conlon conducts with choreographer John Neumeier staging Johann Sebastian Bach’s scared masterpiece with members of the Hamburg Ballet. The San Diego Symphony today announced its winter-spring 2022 concert season, offering 31 performances of classical and contemporary masterworks and chamber music from January 15 through May 28. Washington Concert Opera has announced their 2021-2022 season. This year marks the organization’s 35th anniversary and WCO is excited to celebrate that milestone with a return to live season productions (venue TBA) and with the return of their popular series, Opera Outside, which will bring two free concerts to Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park. 

San Francisco Opera's weekly, free opera streams continue in July with Janáček's intense family drama Jenůfa (July 10–11), Berlioz's massive epic Les Troyens (The Trojans) (July 17–18), Strauss' emotional thriller Elektra (July 24–25) and Verdi's Tyrolean tragedy Luisa Miller (July 31–August 1).
