Hubble IMAX Opens at AMNH 7/3

The captivating IMAX film Hubble opens at the American Museum of Natural History on Saturday, July 3. For nearly 20 years, the Hubble Space Telescope has dazzled us with unprecedented views of the cosmos, from the splendor of Earth's celestial neighborhood to galaxies billions of light years away.

The Athens Theatre Presents EVER AND ALWAYS... HAYDEN, 5/29

The Athens Theatre and Volusia Honor-Air presents a fund-raising performance of EVER AND ALWAYS... HAYDEN on Saturday, May 29th to benefit Flight 6, which allows World War II veterans a one day trip to Washington, D.C. to pay tribute at the World War II Memorial. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. with classic newsreels and the performance begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 and it will be held at the Athens Theatre (124 N. Florida Avenue, DeLand).

ASF Completes 09-10 Season with COWGIRLS, Runs 6/11-27

In the tradition of Honky Tonk Angels, Always... Patsy Cline and Beehive the Alabama Shakespeare Festival will complete its 2009-10 season with the summer-fun musical Cowgirls, June 11-27.

Sweet Love Productions Presents CODE FOXY: MAN DOWN, Opening 5/21

Ferndale is about to get Foxy as Code Foxy: Man Down returns to the beat at the Ringwald Theatre courtesy of Sweet Love Productions. The show will run late night on Friday and Saturdays at 10:30pm and Sundays at 5:30pm May 21 - June 6. The box office opens 30 minutes before performances.

Donnell, Umoh & More Set For ART's JOHNNY BASEBALL 5/16-6/27

American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) presents the world premiere of the musical Johnny Baseball by Richard Dresser, Robert Reale, and Willy Reale, directed by Diane Paulus. The production begins performances on May 16 and runs through June 27, 2010 at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street, Harvard Square, Cambridge.

Paulus to Helm THE CAPEMAN Concert at the Delacorte for The Public, 8/14 - 8/16

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will present a concert version of Paul Simon's THE CAPEMAN, August 14-16, at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park following the eight week Shakespeare in the Park repertory of The Winter's Tale and The Merchant of Venice. All performances for THE CAPEMAN will be at 8 p.m. Free tickets will be distributed the day of the show.

AMNH Host World Science Events June 3 & 4

The American Museum of Natural History (Central Park West at 79th Street) host two events as part of the World Science Festival and the opening of a new exhibition Race to the End of the Earth. On Thursday, June 3 at 7:30pm in the Hayden Planetarium Machover, Minsky and Music in the Dome will revisit the musical experient, the Brain Opera, and ofer a sneak peak into Machover's upcoming opera. And on Friday, June 4 at 7 PM a panel, To the End of Earth and Beyond, in the LeFrak Theater, will feature leading scientist discussing 100 years after the first historic South Pole journey. 2010 Daytime Emmy Nominations Announced!

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the nominees for the 37th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards. Many of the major categories were announced this morning on 'CBS News' 'The Early Show,' by Bree Williamson (Jessica Brennan on 'One Life to Live,' ABC) and Travis Stork ('The Doctors,' Syndicated) including the naming of the Lifetime Achievement honoree, Agnes Nixon, the grand dame of Daytime serial drama.
