The Film Society of Lincoln Center announces that legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese will present the 44th Chaplin Award to honoree Robert De Niro on Monday, May 8, 2017. The pair have worked together on eight films, beginning with Mean Streets in 1973.

Remember This House, and a one-night screening of The Comedian, starring Robert De Niro, are only a few of the highlights of the 23rdannual Sedona International Film Festival, Feb. 17-26.

Primitive Grace Theater Ensemble will present the World Premiere of FRINGE OF HUMANITY written and directed by Obie Award winner and SAG Award nominee Paul Calderon. Co-starring David Zayas (Dexter), performances begin January 11 at Access Theater. Opening is slated for tonight, January 19th.

Rounding out an already robust slate of new independent work, Sundance Institute adds two Documentary Premieres and two archive From The Collection films to the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. Screenings take place in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort January 19-29.

Just last night, A Bronx Tale opened at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48thStreet). The new musical, featuring a book by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, music by Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Alan Menken, and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Oscar and Tony Award nominee Glenn Slater, co-directed by two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro and four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Tony nominee Sergio Trujillo, began performances on Thursday, November 3. The Byrd Hoffman Water Mill Foundation celebrated its 23rd Annual Summer Benefit & Auction, a one-of-a-kind evening bringing together over 1,000 guests from the worlds of theater, art, performance, fashion, design, and society at The Watermill Center on Saturday, July 30. The event, entitled FADA: HOUSE OF MADNESS, featured new works by Watermill's International Summer Program participants that came from over 25 countries to create installations and performances throughout the eight and-a-half acre grounds. This year, The Watermill Center honored Madame Giancarla Berti.
