The Jeff Norton Awards celebrate the best of professional theatre in Tampa Bay. The second annual Jeff Norton Awards will be held August 20, 2012 at the Palladium Theater in St. Petersburg. Awards will be presented to audience favorites in the categories of Outstanding Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Director, Lighting/Sound Designer, Costume Designer, and Set Designer.

GRACE NOTES & ANVILS is a gentle, funny and deeply touching guided-tour of a "place" most Americans go to, but few feel free to talk about. Based on their book "About Grief: Insights, Setbacks, Grace Notes, Taboos," writers Ron Marasco and Brian Shuff use the intimacy of theatre to explore the heartbreak, everyday heroism and surprising hilarity connected with loss. Directed by Marasco, the production features Marasco along with a series of alternating notable guest actors. Featured are Mariette Hartley & Karl Glusman, tonight, July 19 - July 22, and Brenda Strong & Brandon Barash, July 27 - July 29.

David Leonard will take over the role of Miss Trunchbull from today, 3 July 2012 and Annette McLaughlin will join the company as Mrs Wormwood from Tuesday 21 August 2012. They will play alongside Haley Flaherty and Steve Furst who have recently joined the Company as Miss Honey and Mr Wormwood. Bertie Carvel's last performance as Miss Trunchbull took place on Sunday 1 July and Josie Walker will perform as Mrs Wormwood for the last time on Sunday 19 August.

The official opening night for Polly Draper in MY BRILLIANT DIVORCE, took place last Saturday night at Bay Street Theatre. Geraldine Aron, the playwright for this American Premiere attended the after party in the lobby along with other theatre veterans including Blythe Danner, TEd Hartley and Dina Merrill, John McDaniel, Terrence McNally, Joe Pintauro, Mercedes Ruehl, Sloan Shelton, and Harris Yulin. The show runs now through Sunday, June 24. The production is directed by Matt McGrath, one of Bay Street Theatre's Artistic Associates.
