Random Access Theatre presents William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, set in Macao during its Golden Age in the 17th Century as a Portuguese colony and trading post in southeastern China. Shakespeare's witty comedy takes on a new life with a culturally diverse cast and a vivid Chinese/Portuguese inspired design concept. Adapter Jessica Ko and Director Casey Cleverly explode this beloved play to comment on power, race, colonialism, and sex in a wickedly funny and visually striking adaptation.
23rd Annual Kleban Prize Winners Announced

The Kleban Foundation has announced that the 23rd annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist has gone to Daniel Mate and the 23rd annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has gone to Alan Gordon. The 2013 prizes will be presented on June 24, 2013, in a private ceremony (by invitation only) hosted by ASCAP and BMI.

Utah Symphony | Utah Opera and the Utah Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association today announced the details of the May 2013 Making Sense of Alzheimer's Month. The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum announces that the Georgia O'Keeffe painting entitled "Black Mesa Landscape, New Mexico/Out Back of Marie's II, 1930" is part of a brand new series of stamps issued in March by the United States Postal Service featuring the work of twelve important American modern artists. A treasure of the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, the painting will be installed and unveiled in the first gallery of the Museum on April 19 at 10:00 am in a free event to commemorate the honor; Rob Kret, director of the O'Keeffe Museum, Carolyn Kastner, curator, and Erik Setter, USPS representative will all speak. The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum announces its new Director of Curatorial Affairs, Cody Hartley, who will take the position effective April 29, 2013. Hartley joins the O'Keeffe Museum from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where he held the positions of Assistant Curator of Paintings, Art of the Americas, and later, the position of Director of Gifts of Art. The Museum also announces that Eumie Imm Stroukoff, currently the Librarian and Assistant Director of the Research Center, will become the Director of the Research Center.

Fine Lines: American Drawings from the Brooklyn Museum, the first exhibition presented in the newly renovated Robert E. Blum Gallery on the first floor, presents a selection of more than a hundred rarely seen drawings and sketchbooks produced between 1768 and 1945 from the Brooklyn Museum's exceptional collection. The exhibition will feature the work of more than seventy artists, including John Singleton Copley, Stuart Davis, Thomas Eakins, William Glackens, Marsden Hartley, Winslow Homer, Edward Hopper, Eastman Johnson, Georgia O'Keeffe, John Singer Sargent, and Benjamin West. Among the works on display will be Gaston Lachaise's Back of a Nude Woman (1929), Winslow Homer's Two Girls in Field (1871), and William Merritt Chase's Shinnecock Hills (circa 1895). Investigating the place of drawing within the broader history of American art before 1945, Fine Lines showcases a variety of subjects, styles, and practices and demonstrates the variety and vitality of the graphic arts in America across nearly two centuries.
