The Hyde Collection, in association with the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, is organizing a first-of-its kind exhibition that will closely examine the body of work created by O'Keeffe of and at Lake George, New York. The exhibition opens in Santa Fe on October 4, 2013 and will be on view through January 2014.
Ehrenkranz Artistic Director Jane Moss today announced the roster for Lincoln Center's fourth multidisciplinary White Light Festival, October 24 through November 23, 2013. The Festival's focus is music's capacity to illuminate the many dimensions of our interior lives, with a particular emphasis this year on the power of the voice. Spanning numerous musical traditions, genres, and disciplines, the Festival will offer 23 performances, films, and events featuring seven premieres and debuts by artists and companies from more than a dozen countries, including France, India, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, the U.K., Mali, Estonia, Italy, Austria, Canada and the U.S. New to this edition of the Festival is White Light on Film, film screenings followed by discussions with their directors. Other Festival components include: a panel discussion focused on the subject of time, pre- and post-performance artist discussions, and the popular post-performance White Light Lounges.
MSM [men seeking men] is a dance theatre piece inspired by transcripts of online conversations between men who seek other men. Set inside a world of electronic beats where music is the omnipotent power, lemonTree's Artistic Producer, Indrit Kasapi directs a piece inspired by his own online encounters. He invites DJ Scooter (of New York & Toronto Cub Camp party fame) to spin live at each performance. Through movement, the piece deconstructs online male personas and their personal exchanges with other men.

Los Angeles-based developer The Ratkovich Company, in partnership with National Real Estate Advisors and Blue Vista Capital, LLC, announced today the purchase of Macy's Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles. Comprised of 1.8 million square feet of retail, office and hospitality space, Macy's Plaza inhabits the full city block bounded by 7th, 8th, Hope and Flower Streets. After undergoing a $160 million renovation, the existing structures and plaza will be renamed The Bloc. Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2014 and is anticipated to be completed by the third quarter of 2015.
