The Jazz Ensembles of Mount Holyoke College present the 12th edition of The Big Broadcast! on Today, March 4 at 2PM & 7PM at Chapin Auditorium, Mount Holyoke College, in South Hadley, MA. 

The McCallum Theatre presents "Salute to Benny Goodman at Carnegie Hall" on Monday, March 6, at 8:00pm. The performance features the Benny Goodman Tribute Orchestra with 18 of the country's top musicians, conducted by Terry Myers, and with Special Guest Vocalist Nancy Osborne. Relive the legendary concert that made Benny Goodman the most celebrated jazz bandleader of his day. Leading a band of musicians including Harry James, Ziggy Elman, Gene Krupa, Teddy Wilson, Lionel Hampton, Johnny Hodges and Count Basie, Benny Goodman played music ranging from "Honeysuckle Rose" to "Sing, Sing, Sing." We re-create that night in 1938 with today's best musicians. 

The Jazz Ensembles of Mount Holyoke College present the 12th edition of The Big Broadcast! on Sunday, March 5 at 2PM & 7PM at Chapin Auditorium, Mount Holyoke College, in South Hadley, MA. Created and directed by Mark Gionfriddo, who is also onstage as "Matt Morgan", The Big Broadcast!  is a re-creation of a live 1940's radio show featuring the Mount Holyoke College Big Band, Vocal Jazz, and Chamber Jazz Ensembles performing well-known tunes from the swing era and the American songbook. WWLP-TV meteorologist Brian Lapis is emcee "Fred Kelley" for his 10th consecutive season.

Corky Hale, the legendary jazz harpist, pianist and vocalist, will perform her new show, 'An Evening With Corky Hale,' at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood on Wed., Feb. 1 at 8:30 PM.

HERE proudly presents Chiflon, El Silencio del Carbon, by renowned Chilean company Silencio Blanco, a presentation from HERE's Dream Music Puppetry Program.  This production plays three performances only, February 24 - 26, 2017 at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, just below Spring Street).  This presentation at HERE arrives as part of a U.S. tour, with dates and venues as follows: MCA, Chicago, IL (January 15-24); FUNDarte, Miami, FL (January 25-29); University of Maryland/The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, College Park, MD (January 30-February 5); Raritan Valley Community College/The Theatre, Branchburg, NJ (February 6-12); Bucknell University/Weis Center for the Performing Arts, Lewisburg, PA (February 13-19); HERE, New York, NY (February 24-26); UCLA/Center for the Art of Performance, Los Angeles, CA (February 27-March 5); Boom Arts, Portland, OR (March 6-9).

To the delight of fans of the American Big Bands and the Big Band era, the brassy, all-singing, all-dancing, all-American 1940s musical revue, In The Mood is coming to Melbourne in celebration of 23 years on tour. Hop aboard the 'Chattanooga Choo Choo' to 'Tuxedo Junction' and get 'In The Mood' for a 'Moonlight Serenade.' In the Mood is a fully staged tribute to Glenn Miller, The Andrews Sisters, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Harry James, Erskine Hawkins, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra and other idols of the '40s.

HERE has announced its 2016-2017 producing season, featuring three HERE Resident Artist world premieres, two international presentations from HERE's renowned Dream Music Puppetry Program, the fifth annual PROTOTYPE: Opera/Theatre/Now festival, and HERE's yearly CULTUREMART festival, where HERE serves up a first look at new work in process from artists in the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP).

The 42nd Annual Jazz Record Collectors' Bash will be held this weekend, June 24-25, 2016, at the APA Hotel Woodbridge (formally Hilton Woodbridge, 120 Wood Avenue South Iselin, NJ 08830).

Spend the 4th of July weekend at America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival, Music Mountain, when its 87th Anniversary Season continues with the young ensemble Cantata Profana on Sunday, July 3rd (3PM) performing Beethoven and Schubert. Saturday, July 2 (6:30pm) brings Swingtime Big Band back for their ninth season playing the best of the Swing Era! The summer will feature 15 weekends of incredible music including returning favorite chamber ensembles and musicians (pianists Peter Serkin and Julia Hsu), first-time guests (pianist Richard Goode), the ever-popular Saturday Evening Twilight Series, featuring an array of Jazz ensembles and musicians, including the artists of the Catskill Jazz Factory, and the second season of the new Music Mountain Master Classes for Young Artists plus so much more! Producer Corky Hale's I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU - The Life and Lyrics of Al Dubin, features lyrics by Al Dubin, most music by Harry Warren, a book by Jerry Leichtling and Arlene Sarner, and musical direction by Gerald Sternbach.  The production is directed and choreographed by  Kay Cole.  BroadwayWorld TV's own LA on-air Host Michael Sterling was invited to take a sneak peek at rehearsals last week and interview some of the show's stars and creative team.

The production is directed and choreographed by Kay Cole.
