TheatreSouth is proud to bring the compelling legal drama, A Class Act, to the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. Written by Norman Shabel, this play focuses on a trio of lawyers who accuse General Chemical Corporation of polluting water across the country through cancer-causing factory runoff. These attorneys are hoping for a big payoff from the deep pockets of the corporation, while the 'suits' at the latter plan to use blackmail as leverage to pay as little as possible.

A joyful lesson in Black musical history will take place at Aaron Davis Hall on Saturday, April 7, as acclaimed performers Marvin Lowe and Queen Esther Marrow lead a cast of singers in exploration of the diversity and brilliance of Black American music through the decades at "A Soulful Music Celebration." Presented by City College Center for the Arts (CCCA) in partnership with Marvin Lowe & Friends, the 3 p.m. concert will feature an ensemble of artists and singers taking audiences on a fantastic journey of music, culture and heritage.

At the laying of Carnegie Hall's cornerstone in 1890, Andrew Carnegie said that "all good causes may here find a platform." At no time during Carnegie Hall's history were those words better represented than in the 1960s when voices were raised in protest, singing out to be heard. Throughout this pivotal decade, among the more than 3,600 events, was an extraordinary variety of benefits and tributes for social causes that used Carnegie Hall's stage as a platform from which to raise funds or awareness.

The work and life of legendary artist and activist Harry Belafonte will be celebrated during a concert at Aaron Davis Hall on Thursday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. "Turn the World Around: The Music and Legacy of Harry Belafonte" will present audiences with a special evening of songs and stories in honor of and on the icon's 91st birthday.

Harlem Stage, the legendary uptown venue that for over 30 years has promoted the creative legacy of Harlem and artists of color from around the corner and across the globe, is proud to present its Spring 2018 season of performances. The season is curated by Monique Martin, newly appointed Director of Programming for Harlem Stage and features artists as #Disrupters, who take creative risk. They reflect the times via a range of artistic genres, offering audiences the chance to experience legendary performers and rising stars.
