The Colony Theatre presents the second production of its "Season of Premieres" with the West Coast Premiere Premiere of BLAME IT ON BECKETT, written by John Morogiello and directed by Andrew Barnicle. BLAME IT ON BECKETT opens tonight, Saturday, August 11 at 8:00pm and continues through Sunday, September 2 at The Colony Theatre, 555 North Third Street (at Cypress) adjacent to the Burbank Town Center.
Media Theatre Announces HAIRSPRAY Cast

Delaware County's first professional production of the Tony winning musical Hairspray is at The Media Theatre this fall (September 26-November 4). Jesse Cline, Artistic Director for the professional music theatre company, recently announced the cast for the upbeat production.

Today in 1974, A Little Night Music closed at the Shubert Theatre, where it ran for 601 performances. A Little Night Music is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler. Inspired by the Ingmar Bergman film Smiles of a Summer Night, it involves the romantic lives of several couples. Since its original 1973 Broadway production, the musical has enjoyed professional productions in the West End, by opera companies, in a 2009 Broadway revival, and elsewhere, and it is a popular choice for regional groups. It was adapted for film in 1977, with Harold Prince directing and Elizabeth Taylor, Len Cariou, Lesley-Anne Down and Diana Rigg starring.

According to Curbed.com, the home of Broadway legend Hal Prince is currently on the market at $22 million. The 74th Street New York City townshouse was purchased three years ago by Prince and his wife at $12.5 million.

'It's a dream come true,' says American Native Renee Knapp, the German-Australian Phantom of the Opera Star, who attended a performance of the Vegas production, which will close its doors forever on September 2nd, 'I'm so excited to finally having seen 'Phantom' at the incredible Venetian.' REBECCA, the new musical based on the classic novel by Daphne du Maurier novel, has found its male and female leads: Jill Paice will play the role of "I" and Ryan Silverman the role of "Maxim de Winter." REBECCA will open on Broadway Sunday, November 18 at The Broadhurst Theatre. Previews will begin Tuesday, October 30.
