Marin Theatre Company Presents WOODY GUTHRIE'S AMERICAN SONG 5/27-6/20

The Marines' Memorial Association, a non-profit Veterans organization presents the Grand Opening Gala for San Francisco's Marines' Memorial Theatre.

A cast of performing arts luminaries will join Gala Chair and Host Liza Minnelli at the 18th annual Kennedy Center Spring Gala, Sunday, May 2 at 8:30 pm in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.

Raul Esparza will be appearing in the Center Theatre Group's production of Leap of Faith, which Esparza participated in a reading for in the past. The world-premiere will take place Sept. 5-Oct. 17. With music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater, Leap of Faith is based on the Steve Martin film of the same title. Tony award-winner Rob Ashford will be directing and choeographing.

The A.C.T. Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) Program and Young Conservatory present the world premiere production of Riot, celebrated Irish playwright Ursula Rani Sarma's hard-hitting play, in the newest commission from A.C.T.'s international partnership with Britain's Theatre Royal Bath. Directed by Young Conservatory Director Craig Slaight and featuring young actors from the A.C.T. M.F.A. Program and Young Conservatory, Riot follows the story of a young man who lands in a residency clinic for emotionally disturbed teens following an unexpected act of violence. Riot weaves Max's relationships with his fellow patients, his doctor, and his nurses into a moving portrait of the deep human need for connection. The show plays April 1-17, 2010, at Zeum Theater, located at Yerba Buena Gardens (Fourth and Howard streets). Tickets are $15.50-$20.50 and are available by calling A.C.T. Jonathan Pryce stars in The Caretaker, which concludes its run April 17. The production is the first West End run of the show since Harold Pinter's death in December last year. The Caretaker began at Trafalgar Studios January 12, and officially opened January 18, 2010.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is seeking volunteers to assist with ushering, concessions, and the Theatre's gift shop during the 2010 Season which begins in June.
