Photos and Video: Hundreds Protest TPP at Rock Against the TPP in Pittsburgh

Hundreds packed into Mr Smalls Theater in Pittsburgh last night to protest the anti-democratic Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement at the 'Rock Against the TPP' concert headlined by legendary political punk band Anti-Flag. The event was part of a nationwide tour featuring high profile musicians and celebrities raising awareness about controversial deal, which is expected to come up for a vote in Congress during the 'lame duck' session after the election. VIDEO: Mirah, Debo Band and More Rock Against the TPP in Boston

More than 200 people turned out on Friday as the nationwide Rock Against the TPP tour protesting the unpopular Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal came to the Boston area. The concert, which featured well known acts including Mirah and Debo Band, was followed by a training session where participants planned future actions to pressure undecided local lawmakers Rep Seth Moulton and Joe Kennedy, to vocally oppose the TPP. Musicians Mobilise Against TTP with Free Concert

On Friday, October 7th, as part of the nationwide Rock Against the TPP tour, prominent musicians will lead the charge in mobilizing to raise awareness about the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), an unpopular deal that has been a contentious issue in the 2016 election. The tour, which is the largest mobilization against the TPP in U.S. history, comes to Spontaneous Celebrations in Jamaica Plain from 6pm - 10pm for a FREE concert featuring indie star Mirah, beloved Ethiopian dance-pop troupe Debo Band, renowned Boston hip hop duo Foundation Movement, and more.

As the White House readies a final desperate push for the unpopular Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement, large crowds turned out for 'Rock Against the TPP' events in Seattle and Portland over the weekend as part of a nationwide protest tour featuring high profile celebrities including actress Evangeline Lilly, hip hop icon Talib Kweli, comedian Hari Kondabolu, and punk band Anti-Flag. Vancouver, BC - NorthWest Comedy Fest and Just For Laughs are proud to celebrate the success of their inaugural comedy festival, JFL NorthWest, which took place February 18-27.
