This year's Oscar®-nominated Production Designers and Set Decorators from Black Panther, The Favourite, First Man, Mary Poppins Returns and Roma will discuss their craft at the 13th Annual Art of Production Design Oscar Panel presented by the Art Directors Guildand Set Decorators Society of America in association with the American Cinematheque on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 3 p.m. The panel, sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter, will be held at the Egyptian Theatre, 6712 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, and is free to the public on a first come, first serve basis.

The Favourite (Fiona Crombie), Black Panther (Hannah Beachler), Crazy Rich Asians (Nelson Coates), Isle of Dogs (Adam Stockhausen, Paul Harrod) won Best Production Design for Feature Film. Television winners included The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Bill Groom), The Handmaid's Tale (Mark White, Elisabeth Williams), The Alienist (Mara LePere-Schloop), Glow (Todd Fjelsted), and Sesame Street (David Gallo) respectively. Additional winners include Apple: Welcome Home(Christopher Glass) and The Oscars: 90th Academy Awards (Derek McLane).

"The Favourite" was the favorite film of more than 2,500 users who voted for the 17th Annual Gold Derby Film Awards nominations. It scored 12 nominations including Best Picture, Best Director (Yorgos Lanthimos), Best Actress (Olivia Colman), Best Supporting Actress (Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz) and Best Ensemble. 'Roma' triumphed with four wins when The Washington, D.C. Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) announced their top honorees for 2018 this morning. A poignantly observed, Mexico-set period drama dedicated to director Alfonso Cuarón's real-life childhood nanny, 'Roma' won Best Film and Best Director, as well as Best Foreign Language Film and Best Cinematography for its sweeping black-and-white lensing.

The Art Directors Guild (ADG) Film Society and the American Cinematheque are co-hosting the annual 2018 Screening Series “Production Design: Designers On Design” highlighting the work of renowned Production Designers and their creative collaborations. The monthly series will run from April through August, and the screenings will alternate between the American Cinematheque's Lloyd E. Rigler Theatre at the Egyptian (6712 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood) and the Max Palevsky Theatre at the Aero (1328 Montana Avenue, Santa Monica) with all screenings starting at 5:30 pm. 'Hidden Figures' (Wynn Thomas), 'Passengers' (Guy Hendrix Dyas), and 'La La Land' (David Wasco), won Best Production Design for Feature Film. Television winners included 'Westworld' (Nathan Crowley), 'Mr. Robot' (Anastasia White), 'The Night Of' (Patrizia von Brandenstein), 'Mozart in the Jungle' (Tommaso Ortino), and 'The Great Indoors' (Glenda Rovello), respectively. The awards took place before an audience of more than 900, including guild members, industry executives and press.
