BWW Review: WAR HORSE, SEC Armadillo Glasgow

Courage, friendship, determination and hope, War Horse is a love story like no other. After the auction purchase of a foal by a foolish father bidding to save his pride, the Narracott family must work out what to do with a bay thoroughbred horse on their Devon farm. Glasgow born actor Scott Miller plays Albert Narracott, the young country son who bonds with the horse, naming him Joey. Their connection appears unbreakable until a hasty decision pushes their connection to its limits.

Julia Bradbury Hosts THE WIDER EARTH Gala Night

The Wider Earth - the critically acclaimed drama about the young Charles Darwin's expedition on HMS Beagle playing at the custom-built theatre in the Jerwood Gallery at London's Natural History Museum until 24 February - will hold a special VIP Gala Night on 12 February 2019. The gala, hosted by Julia Bradbury, will be held to celebrate Charles Darwin's 210th birthday, and will support The Queen's Commonwealth Trust and the production's official charitable partner The Queen's Commonwealth Canopy.

Athol Fugard's A LESSON FROM ALOES Comes to Finborough Theatre

The acclaimed South African/British actor, writer and director Janet Suzman directs the first London production in 35 years of Athol Fugard's A Lesson From Aloes at the multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre, running for a strictly limited four week season from Wednesday, 27 February to Saturday, 23 March 2019 (Press Nights: Tuesday, 5 March and Wednesday, 6 March 2019 at 7.30pm).

National Theatre Announces New Casting for Upcoming Season

Eric Kofi Abrefa and Thalissa Teixeira join Vanessa Kirby in the cast of Julie, part of the Travelex season with thousands of tickets available at £15. Sam Mendes directs The Lehman Trilogy, a co-production with Neal Street Productions, cast includes Adam Godley, Ben Miles and Simon Russell Beale. Full casting is announced for the award winning An Octoroon by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, transferring to the National Theatre in a co-production with the Orange Tree Theatre. The NT will tour to 30 venues in 27 towns and cities across the UK and Ireland, for a total of 83 playing weeks over the next year. Rufus Norris' Macbeth to tour to 18 venues across the UK and Ireland from autumn 2018. War Horse returns to the National Theatre marking the centenary of Armistice Day.
