The Pearl Theatre Company is pleased to present A Taste of Honey by Shelagh Delaney. Directed by Tony-nominee Austin Pendleton, the production, running September 6-October 16, marks the first Off-Broadway revival of this landmark play in 35 years.

The Pearl Theatre Company is pleased to present the New York premiere of Stupid Fu**ing Bird, Aaron Posner's award-winning wry riff on Anton Chekhov's masterpiece The Seagull. Directed by Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival's Artistic Director Davis McCallum, the production, running through May 8, scoops up Chekhov's tale of unrequited love, missed opportunities, and misplaced dreams and sets it down squarely in the bustle of 21st century life. With its rebellious title evoking Constantine's subversive play-within-a-play from the original, it captures the heartbreaking humor of the tale while playing as brilliantly with dramatic form as Chekhov himself once did.

The Pearl Theatre Company is pleased to present the world premiere of The Dingdong, Mark Shanahan's adaptation of French farceur Georges Feydeau's Le Dindon. Directed by The Pearl Theatre's Artistic Director Hal Brooks, The Dindong follows the misadventures of one madcap night in a Paris Hotel, dancing us into a world where opening the wrong door in the dark of night leads to mayhem, laughter and, maybe, a few home truths about the secrets to a happy marriage. The production runs April 5-May 15 and features five actors taking on multiple roles in this breezy comedy full of romance, lust and theatricality. 

A woman, Maggie, (Danielle Slavick) who is a sales representative for a medical supply company checks in to a long-term residential hotel in Temp, Arizona for a month-long stay. Right away she establishes an uneasy sort of alliance with two hotel employees, Bobby (Alexandro Rodriguez) and Theresa (Leah Karpel). This curious triangle of people in transition forms the nucleus of Laura Jacqmin's Residence, a play about the ephemerality of human existence.

Midsummer kicks off the Pearl's 32nd season, which will continue in the spring with the New York Premiere of Aaron Posner's Stupid Fu**ing Bird in and a World Premiere adaptation by Mark Shanahan of George Feydeau's Le Dindon, entitled The Dingdong.

Artistic Director Hal Brooks announced that casting is now complete for the 2015 season of Cape Cod Theatre Project, featuring new works by Lucas Hnath, Laura Jacqmin, Kevin Armento and Ryan King each weekend in July. Two-time Tony Award nominee K. Todd Freeman will be joined by Broadway veterans Glenn Davis, Samantha Soule, and Obie winner Marc Damon Johnson to complete the casting of staged readings in Falmouth, MA.
