Sometimes it seems there is so much theater happening that it's difficult to keep track of it all. From personal experience, despite all the datebooks, smart phones, tablets, desktop computers and laptops...it's hard to keep everything straight in this wacky business of the show.

Experiment with oil pastels in the style of artist Georgia O'Keeffe and participate in an art-making activity led by illustrator Sushmita Mazumdar in the Robert and Arlene Kogod Courtyard.

'American Cool' will feature 100 photographs of icons who have contributed an original artistic vision to American culture and are symbolic figures of their time. The exhibition will be open at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery today, Feb. 7 through Sept. 7.
