Sundance Institute Announces Selections for 2015 U.S. and World Competitions, NEXT and More

Sundance Institute announced today the films selected for the U.S. and World Cinema Dramatic and Documentary Competitions and the out-of-competition NEXT <=> section of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, January 22 to February 1 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. The Festival is the centerpiece of the year-round public programs for the Institute, which also hosts 24 residency labs and grants more than $2.5 million to independent artists each year.

STARZ announced today that acclaimed filmmaker David Mich'd will direct the first episode of the new original drama series 'Flesh and Bone.' Mich'd is known as both a writer and director and his debut feature film Animal Kingdom went on to win multiple awards, as well as Golden Globe(R) and Oscar(R) nominations. Due to the approaching winter storm, PPT has announced that Opening Night for The Count of Monte Cristo scheduled for Thursday, February 13 at the Meroney Theater, has been canceled. All ticket holders for Thursday's show should contact the Meroney Box Office (704-633-5471) at your earliest convenience to reschedule. Shows will resume the regular schedule on Friday, February 14 at 7:30pm. The Meroney Box Office will be open today until the storm begins and will reopen on Thursday as soon as staff can safely get to the theater.
