Court Theatre, under the continuing leadership of Charles Newell, Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director, continues its 2017/18 season with Guess Who's Coming to Dinner by Todd Kreidler (based on the screenplay by William Rose), directed by Marti Lyons with Associate Director Wardell Julius Clark. Guess Who's Coming to Dinner runs March 15 - April 15, 2018 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Ave. The press opening is Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 8:00pm.

Asolo Rep continues its season with Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' gripping and engrossing GLORIA, a Pulitzer Prize-finalist and one of The New York Times' Best Theater Picks of 2015. Directed by FSU/Asolo Conservatory Director and Asolo Rep Associate Artistic Director Greg Leaming, GLORIA previews April 4 and 5, opens April 6 and runs through April 29 in the Cook Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

Palo Alto Players, the first theatre company on the Peninsula, will hold its third annual gala fundraiser on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Mitchell Park Community Center, 3700 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. The evening, entitled "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?," will include surprise entertainment from Palo Alto Players' favorite performers, special guests, and honor the Leading Players that have made a lasting impact on the organization. All proceeds from the event will be used to further the company's mission of providing high quality, performing arts programming to the community and expand the organization's community outreach initiatives. The Huntington Announces Winners Of 2018 Boston August Wilson Monologue Competition

Bishop Edwards of Snowden International School at Copley took first place on Monday, January 29, 2018 with his performance as Troy from Fences at the Boston Regional Finals of the August Wilson Monologue Competition, held for the eighth year by the Education Department of the Huntington Theatre Company, the playwright's longtime artistic home. Beyonce Martinez of Margarita Muniz Academy was named first runner-up and portrayed Vera from Seven Guitars; Antoinette Webster (Tonya, King Hedley II) of Codman Academy Charter Public School was named second runner-up. The three will receive a total of $850 in prize money, and the top two winners will be awarded an all-expense-paid trip to New York City where they will perform their monologues at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre in the National Competition on May 7, 2018. Airfare, hotel accommodations, workshops, and tickets to attend a Broadway production will be provided in collaboration with Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre Company and Jujamcyn Theatres. The national competition is free and open to the public.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company continues the Debut Season at The Otto M. Budig Theater with Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, by Todd Kreidler, based on the screenplay by William Rose, playing January 26- February 17, 2018. This production marks the script's Cincinnati premiere, and is directed by D. Lynn Meyers, the Artistic Director of Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati. The cast includes CSC Associate Artists Darnell Pierre Benjamin and Kelly Mengelkoch alongside Barry Mulholland, Annie Fitzpatrick, Caitlin McWethy, Ken Early, and Thursday Farrar. The production is sponsored by Frost Brown Todd, BB&T, and Moerlein Lager House.

Huntington Theatre Company's Department of Education presents the 8th annual Boston regional finals of the August Wilson Monologue Competition, celebrating the writing of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright. Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre Company (Atlanta, GA) inaugurated the competition in 2009, and this year marks the 8th year that the Huntington's education department has hosted the competition in Boston.

Asolo Rep proudly kicks off its repertory season with SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE, the stunning new stage adaptation of Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard's triumphant Academy Award-winning film. The film starred Gwyneth Paltrow as Viola, who garnered an Oscar for the role, Joseph Fiennes as Will, and Dame Judi Dench as Queen Elizabeth. This lush, sweeping and timeless romantic comedy will be helmed by director and choreographer Rachel Rockwell. Originally produced by Disney Theatrical Productions and Sonia Friedman Productions and adapted for the stage by Lee Hall, SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE previews January 10 and 11, opens January 12 and runs in rotating repertory through March 28 in the Mertz Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.
