From July 17 through August 3, 2013, MASS MoCA (the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, MA) explodes with the sounds of the 12th Annual Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival at MASS MoCA, a utopian residency program dedicated entirely to the creation, study, and performance of the most adventurous music of our time. A three-week intensive of public performances, recitals, and lectures, the Festival will be attended by over 50 cutting-edge composers and performers from around the globe, including 37 fellows selected from a pool of over 250 applicants from 17 countries.

The Festival is dedicated entirely to today's most exciting, fresh, and innovative new music and includes public performances, recitals, and lectures.

Today, June 17, from noon until midnight, Bang on a Can continues celebrating its 25th year with the annual Bang on a Can Marathon, free for the public at World Financial Center Winter Garden (220 Vesey Street, NYC), presented by River To River® Festival, Arts Brookfield, and Bang on a Can.

Tomorrow, October 12, the Craig Handy Quartet will play at Rue 57 in New York City. The quartet consists of Matt Chertkoff on guitar, Kyle Kholer on organ, Mclenty Hunter on drums, and Craig Handy on saxophone.

Saxophonist, composer and arranger, TIM GREEN, is a rising star on the International music scene. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Tim was inspired to pursue music by a family of musicians at the young age of 10. A student at the Manhattan School of Music in 2004, where he studied with world-renowned instructors such as Dick Oatts, Gary Dial, Bob Mintzer and Steve Slagle Green has had the opportunity to perform with various artists such as Roy Hargrove, Mulgrew Miller, Jon Faddis, Christian McBride, Carl Allen, Rodney Whitaker, Hubert Laws, Kenny Burrell, and Patrice Rushen to name a few. http://www.myspace.com/timgreenmusic
