Vince Szydlowski Named Senior Vice President, Label Sales for Capitol Music Group

Vince Szydlowski has been appointed Senior Vice President of Label Sales for Capitol Music Group (CMG), it was announced today by Greg Thompson, Executive Vice President of the company. In his new position, Szydlowski will implement and execute the Group's sales and retail marketing strategies, incorporating those plans into the efforts of Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD) and managing Capitol's vital interaction with that company. He will oversee Capitol Music Group's National Sales staff in the design and planning of strategic retail campaigns.Szydlowski is based in Hollywood in the company's iconic Capitol Tower.

Wheater yesterday announced that veteran Chicago arts administrator Greg Cameron, most recently the Chief Operating Officer of WTTW/WFMT, will join the Joffrey leadership team as its new Executive Director, effective July 1, 2013. Kathleen Hechinger, who joined The Joffrey as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrator Officer in 2010 and has served as interim Executive Director since March, has been appointed to the new position of Joffrey Ballet Deputy Director.

Such have been the reviews worldwide for Sunny Thompson in her remarkable performance as Marilyn Monroe in Greg Thompson's Marilyn Forever Blonde, which played the El Portal Mainstage last weekend to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Monroe's death. The play has gone cross country, even to London, to great acclaim and awards. Thompson has been unanimously praised for her razor sharp recreation. Not only does she look, walk, talk and sing - a better singer than MM - like Marilyn, but she somehow manages to inhabit her thoroughly and channel her emotional fragility to the letter.
