Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. is pleased to continue its 30th and final season with the world premiere adaptation of IBSEN'S GHOSTS, adapted and directed by Neo-Futurist Founding Director Greg Allen. Wrestling with the themes of identity, truth, fate and freedom, Allen puts his trademark meta-theatricality on Henrik Ibsen's scandalous 1882 play, Ghosts. Allen's unique spin on Mrs. Alving's classic battle with Pastor Manders includes humor, self-referentiality and a bit of irreverence in this, his first, and apparently last, show with Mary-Arrchie.

?The Irvington Town Hall Theater (ITHT) commission will present the second season of the Stage Door Reading Series. This year, the series is overseen by commissioner Beth Ryan and will have a local spin on it. There will be three events throughout the season where local playwrights will get a chance to cast their works, see and hear them read aloud in front of an audience, and get feedback on their work in a Q&A with the audience afterwards.

The Irvington Town Hall Theater in Irvington, NY announces the final reading in their Irvington Stage Door Reading Series of the new musical The Great American Whoopee by Gonzalo A. Valencia and Michael Campbell on Monday, May 18 at 7:30 pm. The two have been working on this musical adaptation of Mushroom: The Story of the A-Bomb Kid, an autobiography written by John Aristotle Phillips and his friend, David Michaelis for over a year now.

The play goes beyond the typical love story to explore what it means to believe and what it might cost us not to. The play is about two gay men in a committed relationship in which one is devoutly religious and the other is an atheist. The play revolves around their five-year relationship and how they make it work despite their differences. However, when an accident changes everything, Adam must turn to Luke's family for support and answers.
