Guest Blog: Designer Lydia Monks On Bringing A Children's Classic From Page To Stage

What the Ladybird Heard was first brought to the West End in 2017, marking a theatrical perch for the hugely popular sequence of picture books created by the writer Julia Donaldson and the illustrator Lydia Monks. The stage adaptation is back on the West End this summer to be followed by a UK tour, with Monks once more on board as design consultant. The bestselling illustrator discusses what it has been like to bring her creations to three-dimensional life.

Birmingham Town Hall Presents WHAT THE LADYBIRD HEARD LIVE ON STAGE

Based on the award-winning children's book, What the Ladybird Heard will be performed at Town Hall from Tuesday 27 December 2016 until Wednesday 11 January 2017, with a specially adapted relaxed and BSL interpreted performance on Sunday 8 January.

Family Musical MR. POPPER'S PENGUINS Launches West End Tour Today

The producer of The Tiger Who Came to Tea, We're Going on a Bear Hunt, Hetty Feather and What the Ladybird Heard today announces the world premiere of brand new family musical Mr Popper's Penguins which is making a splash this winter touring around the country now through January 2016. Mr Popper and his Penguins will be hopping off to various locations, opening at the Theatre Royal Brighton today 26 November.

The producer of The Tiger Who Came to Tea, We're Going on a Bear Hunt, Hetty Feather and What the Ladybird Heard today announces the world premiere of brand new family musical Mr Popper's Penguins which is making a splash this winter touring around the country from November 2015 to January 2016. Mr Popper and his Penguins will be hopping off to various locations, opening at the Theatre Royal Brighton on Thursday 26 November. The tour continues on to Malvern Theatre and London's Cadogan Hall before settling in at the Lowry Salford for a glittering Christmas season from Thursday 10 December to Sunday 10 January. The tour is completed with a run at Rose Theatre Kingston from Thursday 14 January to Sunday 17 January.

Old Red Lion Theatre to Present THE SPRING TIDE World Premiere, Sept 3-21

Oliver Taheri Productions and Fragile Ambition presents the world premiere of 'THE SPRING TIDE' by Carol Vine, directed by Graham Hubbard. This modern day love story of transformation and hope takes place in September at London's Old Red Lion Theatre in Islington.
