The Actors' Gang Theater Announces One Act Festival, March 14 - April 20

The Actors' Gang presents One Act Festival, featuring two contrasting programs performed in repertory. Show one, entitled The Classic, begins performances March 14th (press opening March 23) and features two classic one-act plays -- Jean-Paul Sartre's No Exit, directed by Brian T. Finney, and Samuel Beckett's Krapps's Last Tape, directed by Cynthia Ettinger. Show two, entitled The Original, begins performances March 16 (Press Opening March 29) and features three new one-act plays written, directed, and acted by The Actors Gang ensemble:  Tradition, written by James Edward Bane and directed by Tess Vidal, A Perfect World, written by Lynde Houck and directed by Danielle Powell, and Clean Slate, written by Bob Turton and directed by Zoe Hall. Both programs will run Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, through April 20th.  

ALL OUR CHILDREN Featuring John Glover Comes to The Sheen Center

After an acclaimed run in London's West End, the Sheen Center for Thought & Culturewill present the American premiere production of Stephen Unwin's new play, All Our Children. Tony Award winner John Glover (Saint Joan, The Drowsy Chaperone, Love! Valour! Compassion! on Broadway; TV's 'Smallville') is featured in a company including Jennifer Dundas (The Little Foxes, Arcadia on Broadway), Karl Kenzler (Fiddler on the Roof, You Can't Take It With You on Broadway; 'Law & Order,' 'House of Cards'), Tasha Lawrence ('The Looming Tower,' Hulu; 'Royal Pains') and Sam Lilja (The Iceman Cometh on Broadway).

Walnut Street Theatre Announces 2019-20 Season

Arkansas Repertory Theatre Names Executive Artistic Director

Arkansas Repertory Theatre announced today that William Trice has been named the theatre's new executive artistic director. Trice, a Little Rock native, has served as Broadway producer in New York since 2010, producing work that has earned him three Tony Awards and five nominations.

Laguna Playhouse Presents DRIVING MISS DAISY

LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE presents the fourth show in its 98th season, four-time Emmy winner Michael Learned ('The Waltons') and Lance E. Nichols (HBO's 'Treme') staring in the Pulitzer Prize award-winning play, DRIVING MISS DAISY, written by Alfred Uhry and directed by Michael Bloom.  Executive Director Ellen Richard comments, 'We are thrilled to bring in 2019 with this powerful and still vitally important play.' Adds Artistic Director Ann E. Wareham, 'Michael Learned and Lance E. Nichols will ignite the stage with their critically acclaimed powerful portrayals of these iconic characters. Christine Ebersole Makes Broadway at The Huntington Debut

Two-time Tony Award-winning actress Christine Ebersole performs at the Huntington Theatre Company for one night only alongside SIRIUS/XM Radio star Seth Rudetsky as music director and host on Saturday, January 26 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. Performance times are 5pm and 8pm. Produced by Mark Cortale Productions, the performance is the second installment of the new 'Broadway @ the Huntington' series which brings Boston audiences up close and personal with Broadway artists.

LIPS TOGETHER, TEETH APART and A DOLL'S HOUSE Among Coyote Stageworks Play Dates Reader's Series

 Coyote StageWorks, the Coachella Valley-based award-winning Actors' Equity professional theater company, announced that it has added three more FREE plays to its popular free "Play Dates" Reader's Series. Play Dates is a free Educational Community Outreach Program that features fresh or classic, compelling scripts read by new and established actors and are offered at the Camelot Theatre/Palm Springs Cultural Center. The upcoming new Play Dates are "Eugene Walter At Large" (a new, original work) on December 16, "Lips Together, Teeth Apart" (a revisiting of a modern classic on the 25th anniversary of its original Off-Broadway production) on February 24, and "A Doll's House, Part 2" (a 2017 Tony Award winner and recently listed as 'The most produced play of the season in the US.') on June 2.  All events start at 2 PM and are free and open to the public. Tickets are available on the day of the reading at the Palm Springs Cultural Center/Camelot Theatre on a 'first-come, first-served' basis.

The Actor's Gang Theater Presents APHRODITE'S HOLIDAY SHOW

The Actors' Gang has announced an extension of 'Johnny Got His Gun' at the Ivy Substation, adding two performances, a matinee performance on November 11th, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and Veteran's Day and an evening performance on November 14th. The stage adaptation of Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dalton Trumbo's war novel, Johnny Got His Gun, written by Bradley Rand Smith and directed by Tim Robbins, began previews on October 6th and opened October 13th.

Quin Arts Presents Slim Aarons Winter Exhibition

The Quin, located at 57th Street and Sixth Ave., will mark the fifth anniversary of the hotel's popular Quin Arts program with a memorable season finale in November. The Quin will present an exhibition featuring the works of renowned photographer Slim Aarons.
