TOKYO FISH STORY Opens at The Old Globe Today

Kimber Lee's beautiful drama tokyo fish story, directed by May Adrales, opens today, June 2 at The Old Globe. The production runs through June 26, 2016, in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $29.

First Folio Theatre's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM to Open in July

First Folio Theatre presents A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM as part of its annual outdoor Shakespeare Under the Stars series, opening Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 8:15 p.m., and running through August 14,2016 with previews July 6-8. Pack a picnic and experience the Shakespearean classic that the Chicago Sun-Times raves to be 'ideal for the sylvan backdrop of Oak Brook's Peabody Estate grounds, [A Midsummer Night's] Dream seems to speak directly to the trees and moonlight.' Shakespeare's magical story about the difficulties of love is directed by Jeff Award-nominee Alison C. Vesely and produced by David Rice, author of The Madness of Edgar Allan Poe and composer, adaptor and lyricist of Shakespeare's Cymbeline: A Folk Tale with Music.

Cast, Creative Team Announced for La Jolla Playhouse's THE LAST TIGER IN HAITI

La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for its world-premiere production of The Last Tiger in Haiti, by UC San Diego MFA playwriting alumnus Jeff Augustin, directed by UC San Diego MFA directing alumnus Joshua Kahan Brody. A co-production with Berkeley Repertory Theatre, The Last Tiger in Haiti runs June 28 - July 24 (press opening: Friday, July 8 at 8:00pm). Chris Hoch, Steffanie Leigh & More Join Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole in WAR PAINT at the Goodman; Full Cast Announced!

Goodman Theatre announces the full company for War Paint, a new musical starring two-time Tony Award winners Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole as cosmetics titans Helena Rubinstein and Elizabeth Arden, respectively. As previously announced, John Dossett portrays Tommy Lewis, Miss Arden's husband and chief marketing manager, and Douglas Sills portrays Harry Fleming, Madame Rubinstein's clubby confidante and faithful ally. Completing the cast of the world premiere production are Mary Ernster, Leslie Donna Flesner,David Girolmo, Joanna Glushak, Chris Hoch, Mary Claire King, Steffanie Leigh, Erik Liberman, Barbara Marineau, Stephanie Jae Park and Angel Reda.
