The global phenomenon seen by over 60 million people all around the world and one of Broadway's longest running hits, MAMMA MIA!, kicks off Marriott Theatre's 2017 Season, running February 8 through April 2, 2017 with a press opening on February 15 at 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire.

Asolo Rep will host Inside Asolo Rep: BORN YESTERDAY and THE LITTLE FOXES on Thursday, February 23 at 11am, with refreshments at 10am. This special behind-the-scenes panel will spotlight Asolo Rep's productions of Garson Kanin's classic American comedy BORN YESTERDAY (February 8 - April 15) and Lillian Hellman's gripping drama THE LITTLE FOXES  (March 15 - April 15).  The panel will feature BORN YESTERDAY director Peter Amster, THE LITTLE FOXES director and two-time Tony® winner Frank Galati, Tracy Michelle Arnold (Regina Giddens, THE LITTLE FOXES), and Christina DeCicco (Billie Dawn, BORN YESTERDAY). This insightful discussion will be helmed by Asolo Rep Dramaturg and Casting Associate Lauryn E. Sasso. 

A spectacular new production of Disney's The Little Mermaid kicks off at The Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 for a limited two week run. Featuring the critically acclaimed work of Director Glenn Casale, this beloved tale of a young mermaid's coming-of-age adventure is told like never before. Previously announced casting includes Diana Huey as Ariel and Matthew Kacergis as Prince Eric, with Broadway's Jennifer Allen as Ursula and Steven Blanchard as King Triton. Melvin Abston, Connor Russell and Jamie Torcellini join the cast as Sebastian, Flounder and Scuttle. 

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) brings to the stage one of the most popular romantic films of all time, Shakespeare in Love-in an enchanting, music-filled theatrical event staged by acclaimed director Rachel Rockwell. Based on the Academy Award-winner for Best Picture with screenplay by Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard, Shakespeare in Love is adapted for the stage by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Lee Hall. Culminating the Theater's 30th Anniversary Season, this high-spirited romantic comedy is magnificently rendered onstage in the magical intimacy of Chicago Shakespeare's Courtyard Theater, April 15-June 11, 2017.

Victory Gardens Theater continues its season with the World Premiere of A Wonder In My Soul, written by ensemble playwright Marcus Gardley and directed by Artistic Director Chay Yew, with original music by Jaret Landon. A Wonder In My Soul runs February 10 - March 12, 2017, with the press performance today, February 17, 2017, at 7:30pm at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

Dirt Dogs Theatre Co.'s inaugural season concludes with David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross. Winner of the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for drama, the biting comedy follows a group of Chicago real estate agents who desperately attempt to sell plots of undesirable land to unwitting buyers. Their tactics toward their prospects, and each other, expose the ugly underbelly of a dog-eat-dog business.

The Old Globe presents a revival of Steve Martin's clever and crowd-pleasing comedy hit Picasso at the Lapin Agile.

Chicago Theatre Week (#CTW17), an annual celebration of the rich tradition of theatre-going in Chicago, will take place February 9 - 19, 2017, spanning a week and two full weekends.

Audiences have two more opportunities to see the Chicago premiere of Gloria - a 'shocking, hilarious and spectacularly honest play' (Chicago Tribune) and 'tantalizing, darkly comic expose of ambition and egoism' (Daily Herald) by MacArthur Foundation Fellow Branden Jacobs-Jenkins.

Theatrefront presents the World Premiere of THE ORANGE DOT, written by Sean Dixon and directed by Vikki Anderson. Starring Daniela Vlaskalic and Jeremy Proulx, the production will play March 16 - April 1, 2017  at Streetcar Crowsnest.

The Geffen Playhouse today announced the full cast for its production of Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Long Day's Journey Into Night, directed by Jeanie Hackett.

Porchlight Music Theatre announces the Chicago premiere of the Broadway musical The Scottsboro Boys, February 3 - March 12, featuring music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb, book by David Thompson, direction by Samuel G. Roberson, Jr, music direction by Doug Peck and choreography by Florence Walker-Harris with Breon Arzell as associate choreographer, at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. The performance schedule is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. There is an added matinee performance Thursday, March 2 at 1:30 p.m. NOTE: *There are no Thursday 7:30 p.m. performances February 9 and March 2. Tickets for previews are $38 and for the regular run $45 - $51. Directors Scott Weinstein and Hannah Dawe and Music Director Jermaine Hill will lead a Valentine's Day themed event, LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE: A concert benefiting Planned Parenthood, the Trevor Project and the Southern Poverty Law Center. The concert is set to take place at 8PM on Monday, February 13, at Windy City Playhouse (3014 W Irving Park Rd) and will feature several of Chicago's most beloved theater artists including Donica Lynn, Alex Weisman and Jonathan Butler-Duplessis.

American Theater Company (ATC) continues its Season 32 with William Inge's Pulitzer Prize-winning Picnic.

This February, Goodman Theatre has joined citywide celebrations of Black History Month with its "Black Words Matter: Celebrating Black Voices On Stage and Beyond" series of events.
