Mercedes Ruehl to Play 'Ma' in Harvey Fierstein's TORCH SONG at Second Stage

Second Stage Theater has announced that Mercedes Ruehl, winner of the Tony Award, Academy Award, and Golden Globe Award, will star opposite the previously announced Michael Urie in the upcoming production of Harvey Fierstein's modern classic, Torch Song, directed by Moises Kaufman.

National Museum of the Pacific War Receives Doolittle Raiders Book Today

Today, April 16th at 10:00 a.m. in the Nimitz Museum Grand Ballroom, the National Museum of the Pacific War will receive a book donation from a private individual, the book 'Doolittle's Tokyo Raiders' by Carroll V. Glines. What makes this such an important donation is that the book holds 25 signatures from Doolittle Raiders. Colonel Dick Cole who was Lt. Colonel James Doolittle co-pilot on that famous mission and last surviving member of Crew 1 will be there to resign the book before it is handed over to the museum. This event is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.

Jim Brochu's new musical memoir at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street). This limited run will continue through April 6th only. Robert Bartley directs, with musical direction by Carl Haan. The Final Post-Show Talk will take place on Wednesday, April 2nd with Special Guest Karen Mason (Mamma Mia, Sunset Boulevard, Hairspray), moderated by Peter Filichia.
