The Dallas Opera to Present Contemporary Work, SUNKEN GARDEN, During 2017-18 Season

Utah Opera Opens Season With Puccini's TOSCA Tonight

Utah Opera takes audiences on a heart-stopping journey of forbidden love, loyalty, betrayal and tragedy in the 2015-16 season opening production of Puccini's "Tosca". The performances, held at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theater, are tonight, October 10, October 12, 14, and 16 at 7:30 PM, then October 18 at 2 PM.

Best of THE CUTTHROAT SERIES: GRAND GUIGNOL DUELS Kicks Off Next Month at The Flea

After completing the most terrifying 4-part theatrical event of the fall, The Flea Theater will present an evening of winners of THE CUTTHROAT SERIES: GRAND GUIGNOL DUELS. Audience members were asked to vote on their favorite play during presentations of 4 separate pods of themed Grand Guignol plays (Gore, Cruelty, Night Terror, and Lust) which began in September. Now, these 4 winning plays will return for a limited run beginning January 15. These turn-of-the-century French plays alternate between ghastly horrors and carnal comedies to create a gripping, deplorable evening of theater.

Verismo Opera to Round Out 25th Anniversary Season with LA BOHEME, 10/19 & 26

The New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera, the only grand opera company in Bergen County, New Jersey, concludes its 25th anniversary season, Vive la France, with Giacomo Puccini's La Boheme. Met Principal Conductor Fabio Luisi will be conducting two operas in the 2013-14 season, Rossini's La Cenerentola and Puccini's Madama Butterfly.
