Das Theater Basel announces Tosca, Isolde, Die Mowe, Absolut Danza, Flockwork and more for September!

The Glimmerglass Festival, Central New York's opera and musical theater company, has announced its 2014 season.

The Metropolitan Opera's 2013-14 season will feature many of the world's greatest singers, conductors, and theater artists in 26 operas, including six new productions, of a varied repertory that ranges from the Baroque era to the 21st century. Met Music Director James Levine will return to the Met podium for the first time in two years, conducting three operas with which he has long been associated: a new production of Verdi's final masterpiece Falstaff, Mozart's Cosi fan tutte, and Berg's Wozzeck. Met Principal Conductor Fabio Luisi will be conducting two operas in the 2013-14 season, Rossini's La Cenerentola and Puccini's Madama Butterfly.

General Director Irene Dalis announced the repertoire for the company's 30th season to begin Saturday, September 7, 2013 with Verdi's masterwork Falstaff, conducted by Opera San José's founding music director and principal conductor, David Rohrbaugh. In November, Opera San José will present Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, a family classic to welcome the holiday season. Acclaimed stage director Brad Dalton returns in 2014 to direct Puccini's bittersweet Madama Butterfly. The season will culminate with Mozart's Don Giovanni conducted by George Cleve, founder and music director of the Midsummer Mozart Festival.

Charing Cross Theatre has announced its second season, opening with the world premiere of THE MAN ON HER MIND, followed by the Olivier Award-winning OperaUpClose production of LA BOHEME, and concluding with the UK premiere of the 1969 Jerry Herman musical DEAR WORLD.

Seattle Opera today announced its 2012/13 season, featuring six operas that explore the infinite variety of love: obsession, true love, false love, love at first sight, marital love, and love born of hatred.

Following chart-topping debuts in the U.K. and Germany, The Maltese Tenor, Joseph Calleja's third solo album for Decca Classics, will be released in the U.S. on Monday, October 24. To coincide with the release, Joseph Calleja will appear that same evening in concert at New York City's hip downtown club Le Poisson Rouge at 7:30pm.

Fort Worth Opera (FWOpera) will kick off its 66th season and its sixth Festival with Puccini's blockbuster Tosca, followed by Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro.

A story of young love set against the impoverished but joyous lifestyle of 19th-century bohemian Paris, La bohème is Puccini's most beloved opera and for many the quintessential opera. Eight performances are scheduled from April 23 through May 8 at the California Theatre, 345 South First Street in downtown San José.

Seattle Opera today announced its captivating 2011/12 season, featuring an American treasure, the greatest French opera, the company premiere of a work by Verdi, one of opera's fundamental love stories, and a beloved Puccini tragedy. Amore Opera opens its 2010-2011 season with Giacomo Puccini's classic story of love and loss, Tosca, on October 15-31 at the Connelly Theatre (220 East 4 th Street). Tickets are $40 for general admission and $35 for students and seniors. Amore will also be offering family friendly 'Opera in Brief' matinee performances of Mozart's 'The Magic Flute.'
