Orlando Shakespeare Kicks Off PLAYFEST This Weekend

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF dares audiences to take a risk on new plays at PlayFest from this weekend, November 1 - 3, 2014. Presented by Harriett's Charitable Trust, the fast-paced weekend is packed with lively discussions, engaging playwright panels, and new play readings, along with a keynote speech from playwright Mark St. Germain. This season's event marks the twelfth festival of new plays at the Theater.

Border Grill Opens New Las Vegas Location Inside Forum Shops at Caesars

Border Grill, the second Vegas location from Chef/Owners Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger of Bravo's 'Top Chef Masters' and Food Network's 'Too Hot Tamales,' is now open daily for lunch and dinner inside The Forum Shops at Caesars. Located on the first floor and adjacent to the distinctive spiraling escalator, the stylish new restaurant encompasses an open floor plan including an indoor patio that flows into the cantina lounge, a dynamic ceviche bar, demonstration kitchen, private dining room and bar.

Kate Baldwin, Jason Danieley, Heidi Blickenstaff & More Set for 92Y's LYRICS & LYRICISTS 2015

2Y announces casting for Lyrics & Lyricists 2015, the 45th season of the acclaimed American Songbook series. Cady Huffman, Liz Callaway, Kate Baldwin, Peter Cincotti and Jason Danieley are among the performers interpreting the works of Stephen Sondheim; Irving Berlin; Sheldon Harnick; and such songwriters as Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and Leonard Bernstein, who so eloquently illuminated New York City's essence in song. Mitzi Gaynor makes a special guest appearance for the show on Hollywood's Leading Ladies - only the fourth time the legendary entertainer has performed in New York City.

Michael Flatley's LORD OF THE DANCE to Bow at Dominion Theatre Following World Tour, March 9

Due to popular demand, following a sold-out run at the London Palladium, Michael Flatley's Lord Of The Dance: Dangerous Games, will transfer to the Dominion Theatre next year, running for six months from 9 March 2015. Lord Of The Dance: Dangerous Games had its West End premiere at the legendary London Palladium in early September with an exclusive and limited run, featuring Michael Flatley in his final West End performances. The show has its final performance this Saturday 25 October, ahead of a World Tour.

Richard E. Waits's MAMA ROSE Makes World Premiere at Dixon Place Tonight

Tonight, October 24 at 7:30pm, Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street -- between Rivington & Delancey) will proudly present the World-Premiere presentation and Special Equity Showcase production of MAMA ROSE, a solo performance art/experimental play with music about Rose Waits, a woman from Buffalo who could have ruled the world if they had let her.

Taye Diggs was the 2014 Skin Cancer Foundation Gala's Master of Ceremonies. Sting kicked off the event, performing three songs -- 'Every Breath You Take,' 'The Night the Pugilist Learned How To Dance,' from his new Broadway musical The Last Ship which opens October 26 at the Neil Simon Theatre, and 'Message in a Bottle.' Metropolitan Ballet to Present HANSEL & GRETEL, 11/22-23

Metropolitan Ballet Company (MBC) will open its season on Saturday, November 22nd & Sunday, November 23rd with a family-oriented program featuring one of the most enduring fairy tales of all time, Hansel & Gretel. Created for Metropolitan in 2009 by highly acclaimed New York City choreographer Kanji Segawa, with stage designs by NYC set designer Adam Riggar and costumes by Elena Comendador, this vivid and memorable story ballet follows the adventures of the clever Hansel and his brave sister Gretel, as they foil the witch's evil plans, and in the best fairy tale tradition, live happily ever after.

Manhattan Youth Ballet and MMAC to Present THE KNICKERBOCKER SUITE, 12/12-21

Manhattan Youth Ballet and Manhattan Movement & Arts Center present The Knickerbocker Suite from December 12-14, 2014 and December 19-21, 2014 at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center, 248 West 60th Street, NYC (between Amsterdam and West End Avenues) in the Lincoln Center area.
