Now celebrating its Fifth Anniversary Season, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County announced - as a special addition to the Broadway in Miami 2010-2011 Season - the return of the beloved hit FORBIDDEN BROADWAY. After breaking box office records at the Center in 2008, FORBIDDEN BROADWAY is set to leave its uproarious mark on Miami once again, on stage in the intimate Carnival Studio Theater from December 14 - 26, 2010. Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff/Producing Artistic Director) announced the cast accompanying Forbidden Broadway's Gerard Alessandrini in the launch of the 'The Amas Musical Theatre Song Salon'. They include several Broadway and Forbidden Broadway veterans including: Cristina Bianco (2009 Drama Desk Nominee for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical-Forbidden Broadway: Goes to Rehab), Donna English (Lend Me A Tenor, Forbidden Broadway SVU: Special Victims Unit), Gina Kreiezmar (several Forbidden Broadways), and Kevin B. McGlynn (National tours of Kiss Me Kate and All Shook Up and several Forbidden Broadways).

On Monday, November 23 at 9:30 pm, Jim Caruso's Cast Party the weekly event held at Birdland, 315 West 44th Street (bet 8th & 9th Ave) will open with a special celebration / book release party for 'Forbidden Broadway: Behind the Mylar Curtain'. Creator Gerard Alessandrini will be performing along with Nora Mae Lyng, the show's other original cast member; as well as some of FB stalwarts Michael West, Christina Bianco, and Gina Kreiezmar, with longtime pianist David Caldwell.

Multiple Drama Desk and Tony Award winning actor/writer Harvey Fierstein was host for the 54th Annual Drama Desk Awards ceremony. BroadwayWorld's cameras were there for the post-awards celebration in the press room.
