National Lampoon will present the World Premiere of SKETCHES FROM THE NATIONAL LAMPOON, conceived and produced by Matty Simmons, with original songs by Richard Levinson and directed by Pat Towne. SKETCHES FROM THE NATIONAL LAMPOON will begin previews on Thursday, February 7 at 8pm; will open on Friday, February 15 at 8pm and run through Sunday, March 17 at the Hayworth Theatre, 2511 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles.
The 2013 North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival continues with a weekend of top notch sketch comedy. The sketch portion of the festival runs Thursday, February 7-Sunday, February 10. The sketch line-up features acts from all over the country and is highlighted by an appearance from the Second City Touring Company and an evening with Kevin Allison's RISK!, a live storytelling event. On Saturday November 17th Torontonians came out to support Gilda's Club of Greater Toronto at the eleventh annual It's Always Something variety show and fundraiser. The event was once again hosted by Russell Peters and featured performances by Eric McCormack, Nelly Furtado, Glass Tiger, Louise Pitre and more. All proceeds went to support Gilda's Club, which provides an invaluable support system and resource for people's who's lives have been touched by cancer.
