Musical Theatre students at Marymount Manhattan College are thrilled to be performing two shows this January: a revival of Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens, and VOW, featuring writers from The Directory of Contemporary Musical Theatre Writers.

Earlier this month, BroadwayWorld uncovered a vintage video featuring Broadway legend Patti LuPone in 'Love Cycle: A Soap Operetta', a 'mini-musical' made for PBS in 1984 which was never broadcast. The mini-musical also featured a full cast of up-and-coming stars of the 1980's, including: Walter Bobbie, Lonny Price, Martin Vidnovic, Priscilla Lopez and Ellen Foley. Back by popular demand (because they always sell out!), Chicago's legendary comedy troupe - The Second City - returns to the Liberty Theatre in Hailey with their Happily Ever Laughter! Tour tonight, January 9th and Friday, January 10th at 7pm.

Falcon Theatre will present Bunny Bunny - Gilda Radner: A Sort of Romantic Comedy, written by Alan Zweibel, directed by Dimitri Toscas,the fourth production of the Falcon Theatre's 2013-2014 Subscription Season. Bunny Bunny features Brendan Hunt as 'Alan', Erin Pineda as 'Gilda' and Tom Fonss as 'Everyone Else', an ensemble of lively characters.

The Second City's 'A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!' opened on Thursday, December 12 at 8 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/ Kirk Douglas Theatre. Written by Second City alumni Peter Gwinn and Bobby Mort and directed by fellow Second City alum Marc Warzecha, 'A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!' continues through December 29, 2013. Casting has been announced for The Second City's 'A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!' which begins previews tonight, December 8 at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. Opening night is December 12 and performances run through December 29, 2013.

In an attempt to prove that Washington, D.C. isn't the only town that rewards malfeasance, Center Theatre Group is celebrating Los Angelenos' wrong-doings and missteps by asking all residents to search their consciences for the worst things that they have ever done, and submit said misdeeds now through December 23 to win a package of prizes. The holiday prize pack includes two tickets to see The Second City's "A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!" at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, a gift certificate to the local restaurant Ugo Culver City and all the Tiny Timtinis and Scrooge Drivers you can drink **. (Please Note: Mr. Scrooge has determined that you and your guest can drink no more than two each - this is a theatre, not a Toronto City Council meeting.) Following an open submission process, six projects have been selected for the 2013/14 Kogod Cradle Series, as part of the American Voices New Play Institute at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater (1101 Sixth St., S.W.). Focused on the development of new and emerging work by artists from throughout Greater Washington and around the country, this series of workshops, readings and performances invites artists and audiences to actively explore the development process.

It's Always Something is a once a year special event in Toronto that raises money for Gilda's Club, an incredibly important charity that honours the memory of the late Gilda Radner by providing a place for those suffering from cancer to go to escape, to laugh and to connect with others. Co-produced by Rick Muller and Fred Levy, this year's show featured Corey Hart's return to a Canadian stage, as well as Matt Dusk, Nikki Yanofsky, Colin Mochrie and more. It was hosted by the incredibly funny Ron James, and BWW is thrilled to bring readers photos from the red carpet and the show.

Canada's Number One live Variety Show, 'It's Always Something', presented by The Keg Steakhouse + Bar, an evening of comedy, music and dance in support of Gilda's Club Greater Toronto, brings its 12th annual spectacular to The Sony Centre for The Performing Arts tonight, November 16th.

Billy Crystal will return to Broadway this fall for a 9-week-only limited engagement of his Tony Award-winning, record-breaking play 700 Sundays. This will mark the final engagement of this production. Previews began Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) with opening night scheduled for tonight, November 13, 2013 and a final performance set for Sunday, January 5, 2014. 700 Sundays is performed and written by Mr. Crystal with additional content by Alan Zweibel and direction by Des McAnuff.

Once a year the stars flock to Toronto's largest theatrical venue - The Sony Centre - for a magical evening of music, song, dance and variety called It's Always Something! The event honours the memory and wish of the late Gilda Radner, who died of ovarian cancer in 1989. Gilda loved to laugh and entertain and felt that no one should have to face cancer alone. In a special interview, co-producer of It's Always Something Rick Muller took some time to talk about the importance of Gilda's Club and why it means so much to him to support this cause and produce this event each year. He talks about losing people to cancer, the importance of living Gilda's message of laughter and magic every day, and of course - what we can expect from the incredible It's Always Something event this year.

Crush: A Storytelling Benefit for Gilda's Club of Delaware Valley features a line-up of Philadelphia funny ladies telling original stories on the theme "crush." The evening will be hosted by award-winning Philadelphia storyteller Hillary Rea and will feature performances by Ms. Rea, Shannon DeVido, Cathy Simpson, Bi Jean Ngo, Anna Roisman, Juliet Hope Wayne, Emily McGraw, and Jennifer Childs. Ms. Rea says of the night's theme, 'Everyone's had a crush at some point in their life. Those initial butterflies, day dreams, and interactions with a crush are always more humorous in retrospect. Even when your heart is crushed by a crush, with some distance, there is bound to be a funny story worth telling.'
