Utah Opera Opens Season With Puccini's TOSCA Tonight

Utah Opera takes audiences on a heart-stopping journey of forbidden love, loyalty, betrayal and tragedy in the 2015-16 season opening production of Puccini's "Tosca". The performances, held at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theater, are tonight, October 10, October 12, 14, and 16 at 7:30 PM, then October 18 at 2 PM.

Jill Anna Ponasik, Artistic Director of Milwaukee Opera Theatre, weaves the libretto by Luigi Illica and Amanda Holden's English translastion into a visually stunning and stellar version of the Italian opera which first premiered in Rome, 1900, and appears this fall on stage in the Milwaukee's Cabot Theatre.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (Sept. 28, 2015) – Utah Opera takes audiences on a heart-stopping journey of forbidden love, loyalty, betrayal and tragedy in the 2015-16 season opening production of Puccini's “Tosca”. The performances, held at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theater, are October 10, 12, 14, and 16 at 7:30 PM, then October 18 at 2 PM. Andrea Bocelli to Perform with the Philly POPS in December

Frank Giordano, President of The Philly POPS, is proud to announce a landmark concert with Andrea Bocelli. For the first time in over a decade, Andrea Bocelli will return to Philadelphia as part of his December 2015 North American tour accompanied by The Philly Pops and conducted by Eugene Kohn. Tony and Grammy Award winner Heather Headley will be the special guest along with Soprano Aida Garifullina. The concert will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 8 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center. Bocelli brings his unmatched repertoire of soaring arias, famed love songs, and crossover hits to his Philadelphia fans who have waited for more than a decade for the Tenor's return. The Philly POPS Subscribers and Patrons will receive special presale opportunities. Special VIP packages will also be available through the Philly POPS.

Plácido Domingo, the Eli and Edythe Broad General Director of LA Opera, has announced new details for the opening production of the company's 30th Anniversary Season. The 2015/16 season will open on September 12 with a double bill featuring two of LA Opera's most celebrated productions, Gianni Schicchi and Pagliacci, and highlighting Mr. Domingo's artistry as both singer and conductor.

Boston Landmarks Orchestra to Offer Free Concerts This Summer, Beg. 7/15

 Inspired by the musical connection of people, place, and culture, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Christopher Wilkins, announces the 2015 summer's free concerts at the DCR's Hatch Shell. Free concerts will be held every Wednesday evening (7 p.m.) beginning July 15 thru August 26, 2015.  Neighborhood concerts and youth engagement residencies featuring Brazilian composer, pianist and vocalist Clarice Assad continue throughout the summer beginning on July 12 (6 p.m.) at Pinebank Promontory in Jamaica Plain and through August 14 at John F.
