Euan Morton-Led tHE FILM SOCIETY Opens Tonight at Keen Company

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company today announced that their 2013 - '14 season will begin with Jon Robin Baitz's acclaimed 1989 play The Film Society, directed by Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein. It will be followed by a rare revival of Middle Of The Night by Academy Award winner Paddy Chayefsky.

The second of three world-premieres presented by the 5-time Obie Award-winning Clubbed Thumb in its 18th annual SUMMERWORKS festival of new plays -- PHOEBE IN WINTER by Jen Silverman -- begins previews tonight, June 7 prior to its official press opening June 10 at The Wild Project (195 E. 3 St.) in Manhattan. PHOEBE IN WINTER performs daily at 8 p.m. from June 7 to 16. (No performance on June 11.)

Clubbed Thumb's Summerworks Spring Soiree Set for 5/13

Clubbed Thumb -- the Obie Award-winning theater company known for SUMMERWORKS, its annual month-long season of new play premieres -- will hold a Spring Soiree benefit on Monday, May 13 at 6 p.m. at a private residence in Brooklyn. BWW Reviews: Paul Giamatti's HAMLET at Yale Rep is 'Not To Be' Missed if You Want 'To Be' Entertained

Giamatti, a little older and less handsome-of-face than most Hamlets these days, brings out the tortured Dane prince's humorous side and in doing so, engages a younger generation that might not normally think several hours in a theater listening to Shakespeare could be a fun way to spend an evening. It sure is, however, thanks to Bundy's skill in allowing his actors to find fresh new interpretations while keeping them true to the classic.

Manhattan Theatre Club's new Broadway production of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People by Rebecca Lenkiewicz, directed by Tony winner Doug Hughes, begins the final 8 performances of its acclaimed limited engagement tonight at 7 PM. When it ends its extended, acclaimed run on Sunday, November 18 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street), the production will have played 59 regular performances and 26 previews.

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced that the critically acclaimed revival of Henrik Ibsen's AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE by Rebecca Lenkiewicz, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes, is extending one week due to popular demand at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). Tickets for the production are now on sale through Sunday, November 18.
