Last week was full of rises and falls among the world of the glee club, and while some were more tragic than others, like a certain mega musical once said: Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise. Just when things with The New Directions are looking up, the glee club is shocked to find their major rival Dalton Academy has lost their school in a fire leaving the Warblers without a school and a glee club. Will decides to help the Warblers out by bringing them on board to join the New Directions. Not everyone is on board with the Warblers joining the fold, including Sue, who makes it her mission to pluck every Warbler from the halls of McKinley.

The American Society of the University of Haifa held it's 2014 Gala at the American Museum of Natural History last night. Jamie deRoy was the Master of Ceremonies and introduced Ambassador Ido Aharoni,Consul General of Israel who spoke, as well as other dignitaries from the University. At the podium were Yariv Sultan VP, Professor Alfred I. Tauber, Chairman Board of Governors, and Yefet Ozery National Executive Director of ASUH. Sandra Frankel represented the Leona M. and Harry B Helmsley Charitable Trust was presented a Carmel Award of Merit by Leon H. Charney. Audrey Gruss was also presented a Carmel Award which was presented by Professor Alfred I. Tauber. There was a musical performance by Israeli artists Guy Mintus, pianist/compser and opera singer Maya Yahav Gour.

Over the last year, Reverend Billy & The Stop Shopping Choir have applied their signature musical activism to counteracting big corporations' role in climate disruption. By turns attracting acclaim and threats of jail time, Reverend Billy and the singers, led by director Savitri D. and musical director Nehemiah Luckett, have performed in investment banks, pollinator drone labs, Walmart back aisles and waist deep in the surf off Coney Island to dramatize the sea level rise from climate change. Prosecutors are demanding a year in prison and $30k bail for William Talen (aka Reverend Billy) and Nehemiah Luckett, Music Director of the Reverend's Church of Stop Shopping, for a recent performance the Stop Shopping Choir, costumed as extinct toads, gave in a JP Morgan Chase bank in Manhattan. The 15-minute performance in the Chase Bank has earned criminal charges of "Riot," "Menacing" and "Unlawful Assembly."
