Photo Coverage: Geraldo Rivera & Alan Dershowitz Speak at ASUH Gala

The American Society of the University of Haifa held it's 2014 Gala at the American Museum of Natural History last night. Jamie deRoy was the Master of Ceremonies and introduced Ambassador Ido Aharoni,Consul General of Israel who spoke, as well as other dignitaries from the University. At the podium were Yariv Sultan VP, Professor Alfred I. Tauber, Chairman Board of Governors, and Yefet Ozery National Executive Director of ASUH. Sandra Frankel represented the Leona M. and Harry B Helmsley Charitable Trust was presented a Carmel Award of Merit by Leon H. Charney. Audrey Gruss was also presented a Carmel Award which was presented by Professor Alfred I. Tauber. There was a musical performance by Israeli artists Guy Mintus, pianist/compser and opera singer Maya Yahav Gour.
The University of Haifa is the largest comprehensive research university in Northern Isreal and an institution of unique strategic importance to the nation. It pioneers initiatives, from computer science and brain research to public health and multicultural leadership development which create opportunities to advance the economy and quality of life for residents of northern Israel, the entire nation, and beyond. As it's president has stated "We achieve academic excellence in an atmosphere of multi-culturalism"
It was interesting to see Jamie deRoy hosting an event in a Museum. If anyone can bring those exhibits to life it would be her. The next addition of the 25th year of Jamie deRoy & friends will be held at the Metropolitan Room on November 15th. Although that show will not include any Professors, Journalists, or Ambassadors it does include some pretty talented members of "the tribe."
