ABC Announces New Online Morning Program, GMA LIVE, Beginning 12/10

On Monday, December 10, ABC News will launch "GMA LIVE," a 15-minute extension of "Good Morning America." This daily, web-only program will stream live across Goodmorningamerica.com on Yahoo! and ABCNews.com, following the "GMA" broadcast. "GMA Live" will be anchored by "GMA's" Josh Elliott, Lara Spencer, Sam Champion, Elizabeth Vargas and Amy Robach, with special guests and contributors from the ABC family joining the conversation. The anchors and contributors on the show will vary daily. The exclusive "GMA LIVE" partner is Barnes and Noble's NOOK® HD, the lightest and highest-resolution 7-inch HD tablet.

Today, December 5th, ABC's 'Good Morning America' will air a special performance from the cast of A CHRISTMAS STORY, the Broadway musical. The holiday musical began performances at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on November 7. The eight-week limited engagement runs through December 30.

The event will be on Thursday, December 13th starting at 6:00PM at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Theatre, featuring performances by jazz legends Wynton Marsalis, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Esperanza Spalding and Corinne Bailey Rae. This unprecedented gala event will be hosted ABC news anchor George Stephanopoulos and filmmaker David Lynch.

ABC News' GOOD MORNING AMERICA won the 2012 November sweep in both Total Viewers (5.314 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.023 million), according to Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" scored its first sweep victory in the key adult news demo in more than 18 years - since July 1994. In addition, "GMA" led a November sweep in Total Viewers for the first time in 17 years - since November 1995.
