BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present Nashville vocalist Wendy Moten – best known for her 2021 run on NBC’s “The Voice” – in a special concert on Monday, May 16 at 7:00 PM. Her show will include songwriter Richard Whiting hits including “He’s Funny That Way,” “My Ideal,” “Miss Brown,” and “Too Marvelous For Words.”
North Carolina Opera Announces 2022/2023 Season

The Triangle's premiere opera company has announced its upcoming 2022/2023 season. North Carolina Opera (NCO) will open the season with a concert performance of Puccini's MANON LESCAUT on October 2 in Meymandi Concert Hall. The special, one performance only presentation will feature a full orchestra on stage, and marks the NCO premiere of the piece.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Amanda McBroom in her new show “Crimes of the Heart” on Monday, May 2 at 7:00 PM. McBroom’s concert will feature songs of passion, politics, and just plain love, written by the likes of Stephen Sondheim, Irving Berlin, Leonard Cohen, and of course, Amanda McBroom.

Barrington Stage Company has announced casting for the first two shows of its 2022 season: the 1978 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Ain’t Misbehavin’: The Fats Waller Musical Show, and the world premiere play, Andy Warhol in Iran by Brent Askari (BSC’s American Underground) which opens the St. Germain Stage from June 2-25.

The Philly POPS announced today that the 2022 kick-off of its popular Salute Series, Comcast NBCUniversal Memorial Salute, will take the stage on May 27, 2022 at 7 p.m at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts. Registration for military, veteran, police, firefighter, first responder, and frontline worker communities and their families will be available soon through affiliated bases and organizations. Free tickets are now available to the public.

The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra’s spring season blooms festively with American Classics featuring the much-anticipated return of pianist Jon Kimura Parker on Saturday, April 9th at 8pm at The VETS. Maestro Bramwell Tovey leads this 2021-2022 Taco Classical Series concert showcasing the RI Philharmonic Orchestra premieres of George Gershwin’s Overture to Strike Up the Band, Florence Price’s Symphony No.3 and Gabriela Lena Frank’s Haillí-Serenata, alongside Gershwin’s high-spirited Piano Concerto in F. There will also be an Open Rehearsal on Friday, April 8th at 5:30pm.
