BALLETNOW Will Showcase 24 Dance Superstars in Iconic and Contemporary Dance Favorites

As The Music Center wraps up its 14th season of Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center, Angelenos have the opportunity to see some of the world's finest dancers perform a mix of iconic ballets and new pieces in The Music Center's BalletNOW.  Following the popularity of the first BalletNOW in 2015, The Music Center commissioned this highly innovative three-performance program, featuring international ballet sensation and New York City Ballet Principal Tiler Peck as curator.  Peck created a mixed repertory to highlight the versatility and athleticism of today's ballet dancers including pieces that pair classical dancers with their contemporaries in other dance genres. 

LA Premiere of OUR GREAT TCHAIKOVSKY Debuts at The Wallis

Actor and pianist Hershey Felder returns to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis) for the Los Angeles premiere of Our Great Tchaikovsky, beginning Wednesday, July 19 through Sunday, August 6. Directed by Felder collaborator Trevor Hay, Hershey Felder's Our Great Tchaikovsky is a time-bending tale of music, politics and one of the world's most beloved composers.

Celebrate July 4th at Open Air Theatre with STARS 'N STRIPES Musical Revue

A Fourth of July tradition returns to the Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre stage with 'Stars 'n Stripes' a salute to America. Set for three performances, 'Stars 'n Stripes' will be performed on Friday, June 30, Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.

BWW Review: AN AMERICAN IN PARIS 'S Wonderful' at State Theatre

My Broadway review of “An American In Paris, A New Musical,” stated that it was “a visual, dance-driven Broadway story-telling creation that is gorgeous, enchanting, seamless and sophisticated.” Though I won't go raise the banner as high for the touring production, I will say that it is a very, very pleasing and “'S Wonderful” evening of theater.
