'Grey's Anatomy' star Chandra Wilson has stepped into the celebrated role of Matron 'Mama' Morton, the reigning cellblock diva of the smash hit musical CHICAGO. Chandra Wilson has joined the production for a four-week limited engagement which began, Monday, June 8th. She will perform in the production through Sunday, July 5, 2009 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.). Dario D'Ambrosi, an Italian auteur of theater and film, has created an original genre of live performance to be called 'The Drive-In Stage' and will inaugurate it July 6, 7 and 8 with the world premiere of his hour-long thriller, 'Night Lights.'

Sas Goldberg, Danny Mastrogiorgio, Cristin Milioti, Steven Rattazzi, Jeanine Serralles and Charlayne Woodard will be featured in STUNNING, a new play by David Adjmi, to be directed by Anne Kauffman. STUNNING will begin performances Monday, June 1 at 8pm, open Thursday, June 18 at 6:45pm and run through Saturday, June 27 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project, (229 W. 42 Street).

4th Wall Theatre in Bloomfield, NJ has tapped Kate Swan, actress/dancer (Broadway's Beauty & the Beast), turned director/choreographer, to direct the final show of their 2008-2009 Season, The Wild Party.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced casting for the Shakespeare in the Park production of Euripides' THE BACCHAE, directed by JoAnne Akalaitis with original music by Philip Glass and translated by Nicholas Rudall. Even as it announces a new season filled with hot plays and another show bound for Broadway, Berkeley Repertory Theatre concludes its current season with the world premiere of a smart and sassy script featuring favorite local artists: You, Nero, a new comedy written by Amy Freed and directed by Sharon Ott, rules the Thrust Stage this spring. Starring Danny Scheie as the preposterous emperor of ancient Rome, You, Nero begins previews on May 15, opens May 20, and closes June 28.

The West Coast premiere of a newly discovered comedy by the master of American humor is next up at International City Theatre. ICT artistic director Shashin Desai directs Is He Dead?, adapted by David Ives from a play by Mark Twain that remained unpublished and unproduced for over 100 years. The four-week run takes place at ICT's home in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, May 1 through May 24. Low-priced previews begin April 28.

Friends In Deed will present a legendary trio as Charles Busch, Whoopi Goldberg and Lypsinka star in the first-ever New York presentation of the infamous Broadway-play-that-wasn't, LEGENDS!.
