This fall, one of America's classic musical comedies is back on Broadway - On The Town, featuringTony Yazbeck, Jay Armstrong Johnson and Clyde Alves. ON THE TOWN, the classic musical comedy love letter to New York City, will return to Broadway this fall in a critically acclaimed production directed by John Rando (Tony Award® for Urinetown) and choreographed byJoshua Bergasse. On The Town will begin previews on Saturday, September 20, 2014 and officially open on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Broadway's Lyric Theatre (213 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036). The world premiere of Walter Anderson's play Almost Home, directed by Michael Parva and produced by The Directors Company, opened last tonight, September 18, at the Acorn theatre on Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Almost Home stars Joe Lisi (Take Me Out), James McCaffrey (FX's 'Rescue Me'),Jonny Orsini (The Nance), Brenda Pressley (The Lyons), and Tony Award-winner Karen Ziemba(Contact). The internationally revered Baroque-era master Nicholas McGegan conducts a superlative banquet of eighteenth-century delights featuring CSO Concert Master Jean-Sébastien Roy and CSO flutists Randall Hester and Genevieve Briggs. The menu includes three great works associated with London, including Haydn's final symphony, plus Bach's enchanting Brandenburg Concerto No. 4.

Philadelphia Theatre Company opens its 40th Anniversary season with the Pulitzer Prize finalist Detroit by Lisa D'Amour running October 10-November 9 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). Directed by Maria Mileaf, the cast features K.O. DelMarcelle, Tom McCarthy, Genevieve Perrier, Steven Rishard, and Matteo J. Scammell.

Playwrights Horizons will present the World Premiere production of GRAND CONCOURSE, a new play by playwright and two-time Obie Award-winning actress Heidi Schreck (There Are No More Big Secrets, Creature).
