Briget Boyle Releases Heartfelt New Single MIDDLE WE MEET

Singer-songwriter Briget Boyle has released a new single, “Middle We Meet,” in anticipation of her forthcoming sophomore album, The Next Line (out 9/21). “Middle We Meet” plays Briget's airy vocals off against the cutting attack of a distorted electric lap steel to create a dynamic, absorbing soundscape that matches Briget's lyrical shifts from the uncertain (“What could it possibly mean? This broken ladder we're climbing...”) to the assured (“You breathe, breathe, life into me, onto you”).

New York Live Arts presents Sonya Tayeh, Obie and Lucille Lortel award winner and Drama Desk and two-time Emmy award nominated choreographer, in her New York City debut of an evening-length original work, you'll still call me by name, an emotionally charged dance-symphony that explores a mystifying, complex and jagged relationship between a mother and daughter. CSC Extends Anne Washburn's IPHIGENIA IN AULIS Translation Into October

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Managing Director Jeff Griffin, has announced that its production of IPHIGENIA IN AULIS, acclaimed playwright Anne Washburn's (Mr. Burns, a post-electric play) transadaptation of Euripides' final play, directed by Obie Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812), will extend through Sunday, October 4 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). IPHIGENIA IN AULIS features original musical by The Bengsons and choreography by Sonya Tayeh. IPHIGENIA IN AULIS is part of CSC's Greek Festival, celebrating classical Greek theater as explored by some of the downtown theatre scene's most exciting artists.

HUNDRED DAYS at Z Space Set for Noise Pop Festival, 2/27

Lisa Steindler, Artistic Director of Z Space announced a collaboration between the world premiere of Hundred Days, a folk rock odyssey, and San Francisco's popular Noise Pop Festival. The Thursday, February 27 preview has been designated as a special performance to be included in the Noise Pop Festival lineup. Conceived and created by up-and-coming duo The Bengsons, Hundred Days redefines the concert as well as the musical theater experience. As part of San Francisco's favorite indie music, arts and film festival, the preview on February 27 comes days before the show's world premiere on Saturday, March 1. Hundred Days runs through April 6, 2014 at Z Space (450 Florida Street, San Francisco).

Lisa Steindler, Artistic Director of Z Space announces the full cast for the world premiere of Hundred Days, a folk rock odyssey conceived and created by The Bengsons. Produced by Z Space, piece by piece productions and Encore Theatre Company, Hundred Days tells the fierce, triumphant story of a young couple who falls in love, only to have their time together cut short by illness. To fully capture the most of their final 100 days together, the couple decides to live the next three months as though they were six decades as they imagine the life they would share together. Redefining the concert as well as the musical theater experience, this project resonates with the Z Space mission to experiment, re-invent and stretch boundaries. Directed by Obie Award winner, Anne Kauffman, Hundred Days presents a touching journey about love, loss, and life, leaving audiences wondering how they might spend their last hundred days. Hundred Days runs February 20 - April 6, 2014 at Z Space (450 Florida Street, San Francisco). Press night is Saturday, March 1, 2014.
