The Pittsburgh CLO Guild is proud to announce that Joseph and Kathleen Guyaux will be honored with the CLOE Award for Community Service at the 61st Pittsburgh CLO Guild Ball on June 4 at the Wyndham Grand Hotel.  The CLOE award was established in 2011 to recognize and celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to our community.

He changes characters and costumes faster than he taps out a syncopated rhythm-and he even executes that flawlessly. He's part of Cagney's expert six-member cast in this musical biography of Hollywood tough guy and dance man James Cagney.

I've met Matthew several times over the last decade and a half. The first time was in 2002, right after Hairspray opened. The second instance was at 54 Below, when he was seeing his on-screen arch nemesis, Jane Lynch, perform. Most recently, I got the chance to briefly chat with him backstage after a performance of Finding Neverland.  When I left the theater, I remember saying he was the most gracious star on Broadway.  Friday, was no different.

PITTSBURGH CLO announced today before an enthusiastic crowd of Board Members, donors and friends at its Cabaret Theater in the Cultural District of downtown Pittsburgh that it has embarked on a $10 million fundraising effort called THE NEXT GENERATION CAMPAIGN, marking only the second capital campaign in the organization's 70-year history.

FRAME London Dance Film Festival Sets 2016 Programme

The full programme has today been announced for the inaugural FRAME London Dance Film Festival. The vast programme of films and events is to take place from 9 to 12 June 2016 in Kingston-upon-Thames, London. Presented by the UK's pioneering dance company BalletBoyz in association with dancescreen, the festival is set to offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the best creative talent in dance and film to the general public, as well engaging broadcasters, video artists and choreographers. Over the three days, there are over 122 films screening with 11 World Premieres, 8 International, 4 European and 28 UK Premieres amongst the new work. These will be presented alongside classic films for all ages led by a celebration of Gene Kelly, dance performances and outdoor and family activities at various venues across the town.

Ann Arbor's Penny Seats Theatre Company is set to open its sixth summer season at West Park, performing outdoor professional theatre at movie-ticket prices, on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays throughout June and July. This year, the group's season will open with a modern adaption of Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales (by Lindsay Price), followed by the 2007 Broadway musical smash, Xanadu (based on the 1980 cult classic movie of the same name), with a book by Douglas Carter Beane and music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar.
