Living In A Musical Plays March 4 to 21 at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (at E. 10th Street). The show is presented by Theater for the New City and runs Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00 pm; Sundays at 3:00 pm $10.

The Stage Door Theatre will begin previews of the stage show, based on the classic American musical film, 'Singin' in the Rain' on Friday, February 12, with an opening on Friday, February 19.

The Saturday (February 6th) 8:00 pm showing of Singin' in the Rain is canceled due to inclement weather. It will be rescheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, February 7th, at 2:00 pm. Folks who have tickets to the Saturday show will sit in the exact same seat on Sunday. February 7th will be the final show of Singin' in the Rain.

It has been confirmed that Miss Saigon will return to Toronto this summer as the second show in Dancap Production's inaugural Summer Broadway Series line-up at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. The show will play a limited engagement from July 9th to August 1st, 2010.

XANADU, Broadway's Surprise hit Musical hits the Road! WINNER Best New Musical 2008- Outer Critic Circle Award, the show plays from February 23-28, 2010, at the Benedum Center.

Broadway Series South officials announced this morning that all performances of the hit musical Xanadu will go on as scheduled for Sunday, January 31. In an industry as unpredictable as show business, it is truly a unique experience to meet one of the longtime greats - a performer who has done everything from Broadway to off-Broadway, film, television, children's specials and variety circuits, who been everywhere from London to Abu Dhabi and back over the course of a nearly 45 year career. It is particularly exciting to be sitting next to this same someone, who I personally grew up watching on T.V. in shows and specials like the unforgettable 'Roots,' and who created some of the most famous roles in show business that have been copied thousands of times by professionals, amateurs and students alike, including 'Judas Iscariot' in Jesus Christ Superstar (Tony nomination), and 'Leading Player' in Pippin (Tony Award). This is a man who has made almost as much of a a name for himself on stage as he has off as an activist for diabetes awareness and arts in education, a motivational speaker, acting coach, mentor, and lecturer in black history (amongst other things) throughout the country.
